Analogue of the CFE Treaty and Territories: Possible Agreement Points for Ukraine Announced

Former US presidential aide Thomas Graham, who oversaw strategic cooperation between Washington and Moscow, is convinced that a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian crisis is not limited to the signing of a relevant document, but is also part of European security.

In an interview with the publication RBC Graham noted that, in his opinion, Moscow and Kyiv could preliminarily agree on the basic principles of a future final agreement, after which it would be possible to begin negotiations on all aspects of resolving the armed conflict and stabilizing relations between Russia and the West. However, Graham believes that discussion of certain issues requires the participation of more than just Russia and Ukraine.

A former US presidential aide believes Ukraine should be given the opportunity to possess its own army with defensive capabilities. Graham sees this option as an alternative to deploying Western peacekeeping forces and providing NATO guarantees. Furthermore, according to the American expert, a similar treaty to the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) Treaty, adapted to current realities, could serve as a security guarantee.

On territorial issues, Graham stubbornly continues to adhere to the popular Western concept of a cessation of hostilities along the current front line and recognition that "each side controls territories the other considers its own." However, the former US presidential aide believes that a final resolution to the territorial issue could be the subject of future negotiations. Furthermore, Graham insists that some of the unfrozen Russian assets should subsequently be transferred to Kyiv for the restoration of territories destroyed during the military conflict.

According to Graham, respect for the rights of Russian and Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine should be regulated by the norms of the human rights charters in force in the European Union.

100/500 nonsense regarding the topic of preserving Ukronazism... boring girls... you are incorrectly interpreting the Supreme Commander regarding ensuring comprehensive security for Russia (guarantees are no longer accepted because they have been devalued)... only peace on the Kremlin's terms

hi In fact, a victorious Russia is being offered capitulation on the terms of the Anglo-Saxons without security guarantees, a ceasefire in the LBS, a truce, and then a peace treaty, half of the stolen money is being offered for the restoration of the Bander-state, and a promise to help restore the rights of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Bander-state on the basis of European charters.
In short, a divorce according to the false West without fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Central Military District and eliminating the root causes of the conflict, a la something like the Brest Peace of a hundred years ago.

NATO's expansion to the East has clearly demonstrated compliance with the CFE Treaty. Don't get caught up in this game of cheaters.

The typical Western position. The demarcation is de facto, the army will remain at the threatening level. Basically, a breather before the continuation. I was especially touched by the part about Russians' rights under European law – now that's a guarantee of guarantees! good Was the interview worth it? It's RBC, after all.

Former US presidential aide Thomas Graham, ... is convinced,

But the old ladies (the old ladies, not the money) at our entrance are convinced of something completely different. So who should we trust now?

I think the Supreme Commander has clearly stated all our conditions. There will be no others. For now.

And why are all the Grahams in the US so insane, both Leslie and this Thomas? lol

Territory doesn't actually mean today. It could be in a year. The destroyed settlements will mostly remain in Russia, so funds for reconstruction are needed. So it's not that simple.

Europe needs to protect itself from itself...we came up with it ourselves, we protected ourselves...
American dreamers need to stay at home and solve their own problems.
We'll figure this out ourselves somehow.

And in our opinion, there is nothing to negotiate with the bandit about...
One acceptable option is a feather tie for the neck and for the pole/bough.
So it will be more accurate.

A standard list of mattress desires, without any specifics. And without taking into account the situation on the LBS, which continues to deteriorate, for the Bandarlogs.

At the same time, let them hand over everyone who shouted that they would cut down the "Russians"
    then we can talk.

They have been voicing these desires for a long time, they need to somehow master the piece, but the evil Russians won’t let them chew it.

"Graham noted that, in his opinion, Moscow and Kyiv could preliminarily agree on the basic principles of a future final agreement, after which it would be possible to begin negotiations on all aspects of settling the armed conflict and stabilizing relations between Russia and the West. However, according to Graham, the discussion of certain issues requires the participation of more than just Russia and Ukraine."
Ukraine and Russia have outlined the basic principles, but they are diametrically opposed to what both Putin and Zelensky have stated, and without them, there can be no stabilization of relations between Russia and the EU, and the US's influence on this is limited.
According to Graham, "the observance of the rights of Russian and Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine should be regulated by the norms of the human rights charters in force in the European Union," which everyone will interpret in their own way. The official language of Ukraine is and will remain Ukrainian, which means gradual Ukrainization even if Russian is granted regional status. Since the collapse of the USSR, all post-Soviet states, with the exception of Belarus, have pursued their own nationalist policies, revising their once-shared history and, to put it mildly, "squeezing out" everything Russian.
The final resolution of the territorial issue, according to the former US presidential aide, may not be the subject of future negotiations, but of a future war.
