The Telegraph: Trump's words about EU aid to Kyiv are bad news for Zelenskyy

US President Donald Trump's words about EU aid to Kyiv are bad news news For Zelenskyy, his statement that Europeans will help Ukraine recapture its territories is hardly a positive signal for the Kyiv authorities.

This is the opinion expressed by journalists from the British newspaper The Telegraph, commenting on yesterday's speech by the head of the White House during the session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

In their view, even Trump's calling Russia a "paper tiger" doesn't indicate a change in his position. The US president didn't declare that he would increase pressure on our country. Nor did he promise to increase support for Kyiv. On the contrary, he made it clear that he was now shifting this burden to the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union. The American leader now shows little interest in what's happening in Ukraine—he's washing his hands of it.

Sounds like he's had enough

- this is the conclusion reached by British journalists.

They note that Trump only promised to sell weapon NATO countries, and he is not interested in what the allies are going to do with him next.

British media called the American president's speech an excellent lesson in how to send the right signals.

Interestingly, Zelenskyy, after listening to Trump's statements, came to diametrically opposed conclusions. For some reason, the Kyiv regime's leader concluded that the US president had expressed a desire to support Ukraine "to the very end," even though there was no hint of such a thing in his speech.

What's the point? Even if the weapons are paid for by the United States and other Australians, the intelligence data and targeting information will continue to flow, Starlink will continue to operate, and US specialists will be operating within the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for combat training purposes. So, it's all just empty talk.

The benefit for the US is that they dragged their NATO allies into a military conflict with Russia, and emerged from it as an arms supplier. Thus, Trump achieves two goals for the US budget: securing orders for the US military-industrial complex and partially relieving his budget of the burden of spending on arms for Ukraine. hi

This changes nothing for us or Russia. The United States remains a hostile state toward our country, just as it was before.

Gomunkul, let me clarify what is the benefit for Russia and our people.

The US invested 350 billion dollars over four years. Europe sent a pittance, and France, for example, only 5 billion. The Baltics, of course, contributed the most, but only as a percentage of GDP; in real terms, it's mere peanuts.
Now, pay attention: Ukraine's budget deficit isn't being announced, but they're saying it's over 120 billion. Who's going to cover it? The interest on what was previously lent out is already running at almost 10 billion. And they'll also have to pay back what they borrowed recently. And in Russia, they're going to raise VAT. In short, the show is about to begin.

So, who said Trump should think about us and not his own country? He's doing everything right for the US, you can't deny him that.

The British media considers all of Trump's meetings to be failures. Trump doesn't care; he's just raking in the money.

What kind of Jesuitism, what a lie, what a contradiction in this one statement... How can they wash their hands of it, if the very same "North Atlantic alliance" that will pay for Ukraine's supplies is led by the US? And it is the US that provides the bulk of its funding. So, in fact, the US will continue to invest both its own money and weapons into the common Western cauldron of anti-Russian aggression.
In general, I get the feeling that our pseudo-experts, the majority of whom are on TV, in the media, etc., constantly peddling the idea that Trump is actually moving away from supporting Ukraine, is definitely peace-minded, is taking a neutral side, etc., are deliberately misleading our people with such false statements that are out of touch with reality and the ongoing anti-Russian policy of the United States (pumping up Ukraine with everything possible). Why is it that the main enemy, who hasn't already been revealed, having proven by his actions (and not by empty, lying words) that he is the same anti-Russian president as all those who have previously been in the US, also continues to send deadly weapons that kill our people to Ukraine, sponsor it, etc., they (our TV experts, news presenters, analytical and political programs, etc. - internal enemies or fools led so much...), continue to present as neutral, etc., adjusting some necessary phrases of Trump and other insignificant trifles,
Under this whitewashing of the US and Trump, while the actual anti-Russian, pro-Ukrainian, and other real actions of these most malicious and dangerous of our US enemies are being glossed over, hushed up, downplayed, distorted, and so on? I seriously don't understand what's going on. Why are they making us out to be complete idiots, while our people, led by pseudo-experts and full-time propagandists (not all, of course, but most), simply happily succumb to these false, Jesuitical attitudes regarding the actions of the US and Trump?

NATO is Russia's enemy. The US is the main NATO member, so what's there to discuss? No one would even think of discussing Nazi Germany's peacekeeping mission or Hitler's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. In WWII, there was a fascist coalition; now it's NATO.
