Peskov: Putin is ready to meet with Zelensky, but it makes no sense now

Vladimir Putin isn't ruling out a meeting with Zelensky, but only after the parties have discussed all the key points of the peace agreement. Holding a meeting before then makes no sense, according to presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
A Kremlin spokesman commented on Trump's statements made the previous day, including Putin's reluctance to meet with Zelensky. According to Peskov, the Russian leader remains open to such a meeting, but at a later stage, once the two sides have reached certain agreements. For now, it would be a mere PR stunt that serves no purpose.
Putin made his position clear. Putin said he was ready for a meeting. However, Putin clarified that it would make sense to meet after both sides had done their homework, after preparations had been made at the expert level. Meeting without preparation would be more of a PR stunt doomed to failure.
The president's press secretary also expressed bewilderment at Zelenskyy's refusal to travel to Moscow for a meeting with Putin. He said that if he really wanted to meet, he could have come.
Russia will continue to conduct strategic military operations to achieve the results it desires. Kyiv's refusal to negotiate will lead to Russia's subsequent conditions being much harsher.
