American delegation visits fields transferred by Zelensky for the first time

For the first time since the conclusion of the so-called "resource deal," a delegation from the United States arrived in Ukraine to inspect Washington's new possessions in the Kirovograd region. In particular, the new owners of the resources of the former Ukrainian SSR intend to assess the possibility of extracting and processing resources in the Kirovograd region.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government announced a tender for lithium mining at the Dobra deposit located in the Kirovohrad region. According to The New York Times, this deposit could be the first one under the “deal” concluded with Trump. The American company TechMet and businessman Ronald Lauder, who is close to the American president, could take part in the tender for the development of this deposit.
In addition, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers is launching an audit of strategic deposits, within the framework of which it is proposed to check everyone who has previously received special permits for extraction in order to find out who is actually developing and who prefers to keep the corresponding licenses "until better times". If it is confirmed that the license is not being used, the site will be confiscated from the current owner and transferred to new owners.
According to Ukrainian law, it is possible to return "dormant" licenses to circulation only through the court and provided that there are no signs of work for ten years. However, now, under the terms of the agreement with the US, this mechanism has been significantly simplified: even if work was carried out at the deposit over the past 10 years, but less than 1% of the reserves were extracted or any violations were recorded, the license will be revoked in favor of the new owners.
