Kyiv to Stop Buying Diesel Fuel from India, Increasing Imports from Europe

Ukraine intends to limit diesel fuel imports from India starting next month, switching instead to supplies from European countries.

According to the Ukrainian energy consulting company Enkorr, the country's security agencies have ordered laboratory testing of all batches of diesel fuel imported from India for traces of Russian components. It is not specified whether fuel purchased in European countries actively purchasing diesel from India will be tested in a similar manner.

At the same time, according to the Ukrainian company, last month Kyiv imported 119 thousand tons of Indian diesel fuel, which amounted to about 18% of the total volume. Ukrainian traders were forced to significantly increase the purchase of diesel fuel from India after the destruction of Russian strikes drones one of the key remaining oil refineries in the Kyiv-controlled territories, the Kremenchug Oil Refinery. The oil products purchased in India were actively used for the needs of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

Meanwhile, Europe is in no hurry to impose additional tariffs proposed by Trump on goods from India and China, which actively import Russian energy resources. According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, Beijing will take decisive countermeasures if NATO countries try to impose tariffs due to purchases of Russian oil. The Indian government has also refused to stop buying Russian oil.

And the EU countries buying diesel from India are preparing to increase purchases due to Ukraine's refusal to buy directly from India. Coal from "South Africa" but in a new way.

Well, where from? Europe is the world's gas station, a global monopolist in oil production, the main thing is that all the oil there is "genetically correct" without Russian components. laughing
And most importantly, Europe extracts oil in an environmentally friendly way, from pipelines and tankers, without drilling wells, without harming the environment. lol

Can I get a link? Who sells them oil for 30 bucks, while paying another 22 bucks to the Russian budget? I'm just really curious. Whose cost price without taxes is less than 8 dollars?

You can't trust anyone, not even yourself. You have to be very careful with any information.
In general, look at the export of Russian oil, oil production and look at the budget replenishment from the sale of oil, you can read the law on the calculation of the mineral extraction tax for hydrocarbons. There is simple arithmetic there. You can even roughly divide one by the other. And yes, 35% of the Russian Federation budget is currently from the sale of hydrocarbons.

Russian Urals oil is being offered to buyers in India at a $5 per barrel discount to the price of Brent crude, Bloomberg reports.
Urals is cheaper than Brent by 2-3 dollars, the real discount is 2-3 dollars, that’s less than 5%.
Moreover, a significant part of Indian oil refineries belongs to Russian companies, a discount for themselves.

It's the TV that shows us blissful scenes. But in reality, there are predators, each taking advantage of the situation, trying to snatch as much as possible from Russia.

I had a rest in Crimea and this is what I noted: we have built a lot there, for which we are not only grateful but also expect from us... a continuation of the attraction of unheard-of generosity. Having rolled back a little from "Tavrida" to the side, you immediately find yourself 10-15 years back, and what we remembered there has remained, only undergone temporary necrotic changes. In the DPR there is a movement towards transformation, but there is something to strive for there too...

There is something to strive for in any part of the Russian Federation. I hope that Crimea will eventually be able to switch to self-financing and even become a donor. Although there is little hope. Even Tatarstan used to be a donor, and now it is a subsidized region.

"In August, a record 119 tons of Indian diesel fuel arrived from the south, almost a fifth of the import. Romanian companies shipped almost the entire volume, 113 tons, to the Ukrainian market,"
"In July, the Constanta oil terminal received more than 360 tons of diesel fuel produced by Reliance, which is a record figure in the entire history of observations. The rest of the July transshipment volumes were Turkish products, so the choice was not rich," enkorr added.

LITASCO, a trading subsidiary of LUKOIL, has signed an agreement with Oil Terminal to transport oil to the Petrotel Lukoil oil refinery in Romania for 2023.
This was reported by the Romanian portal Profit.

    Petrotel Lukoil
Located in Ploiesti, the largest oil refinery in Romania.
The processing capacity is about 2,5 million tons of oil per year.
    Resource base:
oil via pipeline from the port of Constanta on the Black Sea,
    Romanian oil by rail,
Shipment of finished products: by rail and road transport.
In 1998 it came under the control of LUKOIL.

The country's security agencies have ordered laboratory testing of all batches of diesel fuel imported from India for traces of Russian components.
Question for experts: Is it possible to find out from which deposit the oil from which this oil product is made was obtained by studying the oil product? recourse I think even the great Mendeleyev couldn't handle such a task! But the security agencies don't pay attention to such nonsense. The main thing for them is to give orders.
