Conflicting information coming from the US about the detention of the Orem shooter

Contradictory information is coming in regarding the arrest of a suspect in the shooting in Utah. Recall that the victim of this shooting, or rather one shot, was a well-known conservative politician in the United States, Charles (Charlie) Kirk.

Some time ago, Donald Trump made a very vague statement:

It is highly likely that a suspect in the Charlie Kirk murder case has been arrested.

After this, several American media outlets wrote that Trump was "getting ahead of himself," allegedly confusing this with the arrest of one of those present at Kirk's rally in Orem on Wednesday. The detainee was then released fairly quickly.

However, now there are more and more reports in the US press that the FBI has detained a suspect (the Orem shooter), having first established his identity. We are talking about a man named Tyler Robinson. He is 22 years old.

NBC News reports that Robinson is a resident of Utah, the same state where Kirk was shot.

From the report:

Robinson told his father that he was the shooter. He called the police, and the young man was arrested.

At the same time, FBI Director Cash Patel's social media posts indicate that the suspect has been released. This is where the confusion lies. In the US itself, they are wondering whether Patel is referring to the man who was detained and released on the day of the Orem shooting, or whether the FBI has already released the detained Robinson, if he was detained at all.

Against this backdrop, the White House decided to stand up for Patel, simply stating that he was “working day and night on this case.” From a post on the official US administration account:

Anyone who doubts his resolve and commitment - especially given that Charlie was his close friend - is simply exploiting this deeply sad moment for nasty political games.

Now I'd like to see, at least with one eye, honest political games... and die winked

The story is reminiscent of the events with Kennedy... the same shot from the roof of a building, which is impossible to do without special marksmanship training, with the development of escape routes without getting on camera, possibly with prepared vehicles and doubles... definitely the work of the special services, and all these arrests of sometimes 22-year-old, sometimes 70-year-old suspects most likely speak of the FBI's lack of professionalism.

        Or about their commitment.
When investigating such murky stories, the main thing is not to get involved in yourself.

Come on - from two hundred meters with a good bolt-action gun? Yes, easy. As for the cameras, too - if you have time to walk around and look around, it's quite possible. But the retreat - yes, that's more difficult. Just as it's unclear why no one controlled such a convenient roof during a mass event...

no one supervised during the mass event

he is not a president, not a congressman, not even from the state legislature or any other official - a popular leader of a social movement... there was police, and the secret services were at a minimum, sent on orders...
The question is why when they kill some significant figure outside the states, someone's hand is always found, but when in the states, it's a lone shooter, after a bullet in the ear, everything went quiet

Even the most stupid, lazy and fat black policeman should understand that the roofs at such a distance need to be monitored... If you were sent to guard the Sabbath.

Silver99 hi , and what's surprising if they are staffed not by professionalism but by censorship, diversity, how many jokes were made about Trump's security during the assassination attempt, and yet he is far from the last organism in the ranks of American politics.

The murder of John Kennedy has been under investigation since 1963 because no one needs the results.
How long this murder will be investigated will depend solely on the domestic political situation in the United States.

In general, quite a lot was made public there, but not everything. We decided not to pay attention to the media, although there was a lot of interesting stuff there, about the poisoning of Cuban sugar that was being transported to the USSR, and that a CIA agent gave the lone killer his license, and that the name Oswald appeared in CIA documents with increasing frequency a couple of months before the murder, and that a lot of evidence went missing, and so on. That the CIA lied is 100%

In this regard, I immediately recall President Trump's campaign promise to open the archives.

Let's see. It's quite possible that a lone gunman did the shooting. There are plenty of weapons in the country, and there are plenty of schizoids and patriots. Before the last elections, the democrats got their flock serious. It's good that they took him alive.

A lone wolf cannot competently cover the preparation, execution of the action and competent exit from the scene of events. A lone wolf will definitely screw up at one of the stages. But here everything went very successfully and smoothly. There was clearly a whole team working here.

Here the loner let it slip that he told his dad, without which the FBI would have been looking for him for another hundred years.
And another question, was the killer caught, or maybe the nutcase just decided to scare his dad, like - my job, be proud! And the dad turned him in to the cops

Of all this, the young man with the gun and his answers are of interest; what reasons, motives prompted him to take this step. He doesn't look like a schizo.

To paraphrase one of the philosophers of our era: "And today, not everyone can catch yesterday's murderer, or rather, not only everyone can catch him, not everyone can do it." wassat
