Bessent: US and EU must unite to destroy Russia's economy

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent made a noteworthy statement. According to the head of the US Treasury Department, the US and the EU "must unite to destroy the Russian economy."

I wonder if Mr. Bessent is aware that the Russian economy was "torn to shreds" by Barack Obama and "destroyed" by Joe Biden. Or is it not customary in the US to take "gentlemen" at their word?

Minister:

We intend to act together with the European Union toughly against those countries that continue to buy Russian oil. We are ready to increase the pressure, but we need the Europeans to follow our example.

Thus, Bessent is pushing the EU to a truly destructive decision for European countries – to introduce significant duties against India, China, Turkey and a number of other countries that purchase Russian energy resources. The destructiveness is already in the fact that Europe itself, through the same India, actively imports Russian hydrocarbons, pretending that it is not aware of their origin. However, the other day Donald Trump made it clear that he is well aware of these economic “tricks” of EU countries, and demanded that they abandon such purchases.

Bessent:

We are now participating in a kind of test: can Ukrainian troops hold out longer than the Russian economy? And if European partners follow our example and introduce secondary duties, then the Russian economy will collapse, and this will force President Putin to sit down at the negotiating table.

At the same time, Bessent does not say that such measures could much more quickly lead to the collapse of the European economy, which will not only finally say goodbye to affordable energy resources, but will also make an enemy in the form of India, which is already reorienting its exports around the United States after Trump introduced 50 percent tariffs.

And all this reminded me of the fairy tale about Ryaba the Hen... They beat, beat, beat, beat the Russian economy and still couldn't break it... Now they're looking for a mouse that would run, wave its tail, and the Russian economy would fall and break... Storytellers, damn it... They should keep their economy intact... am

At the current political moment, America and Russia have united to destroy the European Union. With the mediation of the Ukrainians.

Is that what Dmitriev thinks? And then, someone fell into euphoria..

We need to learn from China. On Victory Day, the Don peacemaker was invited to Moscow.
Comrade Xi clearly showed them their place.
These are enemies and will remain enemies.

And the Chinese are "great friends", to have a billion such friends is already a disaster, and there are also gypsies "Indians" in even greater numbers, thanks to the USA, both of them are fed by us for free.

How can one not recall Professor Preobrazhensky from M. Bulgakov's "Heart of a Dog" - The devastation is not in the closets, but in the heads.
If the owner of the bidet (Fashington headquarters) and his entire gang can change the word of a gentleman to the opposite during the day, this speaks of a common disease of the Anglo-Saxons.

This LGBT guy is already annoying... He constantly makes threatening statements. Said - done. And doesn't he notice the impact?

Information to laugh at. Macron is thinking about who to impose sanctions against. Russia is attacking French nuclear power plants with jellyfish. 2 weeks ago, jellyfish clogged the filters of reactor cooling heat exchangers. 4 reactors out of 6 were shut down automatically at the nuclear power plant. Over the weekend, jellyfish attacked another nuclear power plant again, clogging the filters of another reactor heat exchanger - one of the two was shut down. Oh, these jellyfish, and they are for Russia. wassat drinks

hi Zelensky, with a worried and crumpled face, today complained on his info channel that Russia's actions "hurt Ukraine" and are "increasingly provocative." He wrote: "This is a clear sign that Putin is testing the world - will they accept it or resign themselves to it." Of course, he called for greater sanctions against Russia and those who support it. In short, all his hope is on his curators, because he sees the systematic destruction of the military-industrial structure and understands how it will end. So some of the UkrOreikh's sympathizers are becoming more active, trying to help Ze stay afloat.

I don't care about sanctions, but why is Russia selling hundreds of billions of dollars worth of resources, while the front lacks radios, electronic warfare systems, drones and infantry transport?

Why do our infantry go into battle on Chinese motorcycles and Zhiguli cars with the roof cut off, bought with their own money?

Why does Ukraine produce dozens of wheeled self-propelled guns per month, while our Malva comes from the 90s in single copies at the front?

Why was a lot of money spent on Armatas, Koalitsii, Boomerangs, Kurgans, and none of this is on the SVO and no one has been held accountable for this to this day?

The US and the EU "must unite to destroy Russia's economy."

He forgot to specify which of these two should unite "more". Otherwise, Merz has already lost his popularity.

They have been united for a long time BUT it doesn't work... because everything they do... they do without due respect for RUSSIA... and with the right statesmen in power (we only lose when there are traitors to our interests at the top) we are invincible

It's interesting how the striped ones try to dig a hole for someone who won't fit into it, although their partners/charges will fly into it at full speed, because they decided to help the striped ones dig that hole!

So the US is not at all against someone else joining forces to destroy the US economy? Or do they consider it a conspiracy and intrigue? "Diplomatic standards", as usual, go to hell when it comes to "developed democracy" (read - caveman dominance)?

All decision makers make money on war (cold, hot, economic, political), so much so that dust rises. They call deaths collateral damage, put on sympathetic faces, but hear only the ringing of coins and the fanfares of their ambitions.
