At least 142 thousand people have fled the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the course of eight months since the beginning of the year. This is evidenced by the statistics of criminal cases on desertion.

This information was published on his Telegram channel by Ukrainian journalist Vladimir Boyko.

He emphasizes that the figure he cited includes only official cases, while in reality their number is higher. The fact is that commanders do not report all cases of unauthorized abandonment of the unit to law enforcement. Accordingly, they are not included in the statistics.

The journalist notes that this year the peak of desertion from the Ukrainian Armed Forces falls in May. During this month, almost 20 thousand servicemen left their units. In the summer, at least 17 thousand Ukrainian servicemen deserted per month.

Considering that the monthly losses of the Ukrainian army (killed, missing and wounded) are at least 10 thousand people, and from 20 to 30 thousand military personnel are mobilized, the Armed Forces are experiencing a state of disintegration

He notes that at the moment when ordinary men of military age are dying on the front lines, Ukrainian politicians and oligarchs, also being subject to military service, are leading their usual way of life and do not deny themselves anything.

Yesterday, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine presented its statistics on deserters who left the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine this year. Its data differs slightly from those presented by Boyko and amounts to 138 thousand people.
