Video of TM-62 anti-tank mine dropped on target by heavy drone "Kuzya" has appeared

Servicemen of the volunteer unit "Bars-32" named after Pavel Sudoplatov continue to give "presents" to enemy soldiers. Thus, a video of the dropping of a heavy TM-62 anti-tank mine on a target appeared on the unit's Telegram channel drone "Kuzya", which was controlled by a crew of "Sudoplatovites".

The footage shows how a powerful munition smashes an enemy fortification to pieces.

The Kuzya drone, which the Russian defense industry developed quite recently, is a hexacopter. The first reports of its use appeared in January of this year.

The main purpose of the device is pinpoint bombing of enemy fortifications, destruction of enemy manpower and equipment, as well as ammunition storage areas.

The UAV is most often compared to the Ukrainian "Baba Yaga", which is actively used by the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the Russian device is superior in power. "Kuzya" is capable of lifting into the air and dropping on the enemy up to 25 kilograms of dangerous cargo. This means that it can carry two TM-62 anti-tank mines.

The presence of six servos allows the ammunition to be released one by one or simultaneously.

The drone is equipped with a GPS unit and a magnetometer. Such devices also have powerful antennas. In addition, a self-recording device similar to that used on Ka-52 helicopters was installed on board the drone.

The device’s range is 25 kilometers, and its weight is 40 kilograms.

Maybe we'll move from the brownie Kuzya to Kuzka's mother, whom N.S. Khrushchev promised to show to the Americans!

    - That is, the main purpose of the drone is to show "Kuzka's mother" to the enemy...

What a high-quality video, without interference!
Maybe it can be controlled via fiber optics?

Regular video from a thermal imager. Numerous videos from Baba Yaga's cameras are no worse in quality.

The video shows a surface explosion on the roof, followed by a shock wave. And if the mine had broken through the roof and detonated at floor level, the building would have probably effectively lost its roof... or maybe it would have worked out. Maybe our engineers should consider adapting BetAB-M submunitions from the RBK-500 BetAB for UAVs. To expose buried and protected targets. Or a BP based on the RPO Shmel shot, but with a cumulative pre-charge - to break through the ceiling and hit inside the room/bunker with all its thermobaric power. Or use HE and cumulative artillery shells 122-125 mm with a modified fuse

The kinetic energy of falling BP is too small, cumulative ones need to be developed, of course.

I would also like to understand why an anti-tank mine. Not a mortar or some other ammunition.... One thing comes to mind - this mine is flat, easy to attach. Does anyone know, can someone enlighten me?

It's just that there are millions of them lying in warehouses since the Soviet era...just like air bombs...there's no point in letting good stuff go to waste...well, in general, there's more than enough for all the Bandar-logs.

The mortar is designed for fragmentation, but a high explosive is needed for a building. Lots of explosives, no fragments, just a thin tin body.

the first mine can be dropped to destroy the roof of a shack like the one in the video... and the second one can be dropped to destroy the manpower.

I especially liked the quality of the image above the target. Either the enemy's electronic warfare has relaxed, or they have finally made a reliable secure connection for the new UAV. I really want to hope for the latter.

There is also a recorder on board for objective control. It arrived - they filmed it, looked at it, and posted it. The quality is good.

and what is the ratio of enemy R-18 and other Baba-Yozhkas to our "Kuzya"? 300:1? or much higher numbers? no, I'm not interested in classified information. it's just that there's little joy in what's really happening in the small sky

Baba Yaga is an agricultural drone, which has been in regular production for a long time. We didn't have any of these in agriculture and there's nowhere to get them from)

You could buy it in China for 1.5-2 million, and by the way, it was written there that the fertilizer tank is 72 liters... that is, it can carry 72 kg, and for some reason ours can carry 25. Although there is probably additional equipment for the battery antenna, but still, the difference is too big.

Well, how are things going after almost six months? Are there many cousins, applications? I didn't get into polemics, knowing our manufacturers. Ukrainians reached the production capacity of 50,000 heavy drones per month.

It is quite dangerous for the drone itself (considering that it is NOT a disposable FPV drone) to be directly above the target at such a low altitude. It can be shot down by a fireball from its own munition. In the video, starting at about 0:43, you can see how after hitting a cloud of gases and sparks, the image falls to the side... and the video sequence starts scrolling in the opposite direction. Perhaps the drone did not survive this flight. It is necessary to either drop it from a higher altitude, or immediately fly away after the drop, while the munition is still falling.

sorry, Ukrainians They claim they make 100,000 of them a year, divide by 2, 50,000 a year. That's a lot anyway.
