There will be no foreign troops in Ukraine under any flag, Russia does not accept security guarantees in this form. This was stated by Dmitry Medvedev.
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council commented on Macron's statements on plans to introduce a military contingent to Ukraine on the X network, calling the Frenchman a "Gallic rooster." According to Medvedev, there will be no Western troops in Ukraine, either under the guise of "peacekeepers" or in the form of "deterrent forces." Russia clearly states that it is not satisfied with this format of security guarantees.
The brainless Gallic rooster can't give up the idea of sending troops to Ukraine. It's been clearly stated: no NATO peacekeepers. Russia will not accept such security guarantees. But the hoarse, pathetic bird continues to crow to prove that it is the king of the henhouse.
- wrote Medvedev.
Earlier, Macron said in an interview that Europe plans to deploy some kind of "deterrent force" in Ukraine as part of security guarantees. The core will be made up of European troops, but with US support.
Meanwhile, the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, admitted after a meeting of NATO chiefs of staff that there is no decision on security guarantees and the possible deployment of troops in Ukraine, as well as no unified position on this issue. Half of the countries refuse to send their troops to Ukraine at all, while others directly say that they are afraid of a direct clash with Russia.
