Turkish President Calls Opening of Zangezur Corridor 'Part of Geopolitical Revolution'

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the creation of the Zangezur corridor, which would allow Azerbaijan to link its main territory with Nakhchivan via Armenia's Syunik, is seen by Ankara as a "geopolitical and geo-economic revolution" and an event of extreme strategic importance.

In his comments to the Turkish press after his visit to Baku, Erdogan said that although Armenia initially opposed the creation of the Zangezur corridor, Yerevan now has a more flexible approach to economic integration. The Armenian authorities realize that this event will have a positive impact on all countries in the region: not only Azerbaijan, but also Armenia, Turkey, Iran and others.

In addition, according to the Turkish president, after the opening of the Zangezur corridor, Turkish goods will cross the Caspian Sea faster and reach the countries of Central Asia and China. In addition, goods coming from Europe to China will be transported through Turkey, and the Turkish railway line Kars-Igdir-Nakhchivan will function more efficiently.

Despite the fact that the Armenian authorities have not yet agreed to open this corridor, Erdogan is convinced that Yerevan will eventually take into account the rapidly changing geopolitical situation in the world and sooner or later agree to provide its territory.

It is worth noting that the Azerbaijani authorities are not always interested in Armenia’s consent and may well try to resolve this issue by force, as happened in Nagorno-Karabakh.

        what do you think
Now it is more important for Erdogan to try to prevent an open clash between Turkey and Israel...
Although I would like to look at it (!), most likely the little sultan will try not to bring it to that point.

Pashinyan seems to have completely bent over backwards, surrendering national interests. Although this is understandable: he is Armenian only by his last name.

By the way, yes. In theory, the Armenians should have beaten him up for surrendering Karabakh. But no. Can't all these Caucasian peoples see the English ears???

According to the Iranian representative, this is not just a transport route, but a large-scale geopolitical game, the goal of which is to oust Iran from the South Caucasus track and simultaneously encircle Russia from the south: “Iran’s presence in this region is not only a matter of national security. It is a strategic shield that prevents external interference, including NATO expansion. Our activity in the South Caucasus is a contribution to the stability of the entire region." Velayati expressed confidence that the failure of the "Zangezur Corridor" was a clear signal: Tehran will not allow the implementation of any project that threatens sovereignty, the balance of power and freedom of communication in the region.

It will become a Baku region, or an Ankara suburb, while the prostitute Pashinyan is in charge. The Armenian diaspora should have been deported and their goods should have been banned from import at the very beginning of the upheaval. A thousand years of writing for the Armenians - and no gratitude.

NATO will gain access to the Caspian via Azerbaijan. And the Turks with their Turan will gain access to the Volga region. For the Russian Federation, this is already a mortal threat, against the backdrop of the demonstrative weakness of the federal center, incapable of even coping with the diaspora. Although, considering how many such threats the characters from the leadership of the Russian Federation themselves have created, they are unlikely to even notice this.

Well, in a couple of months the conflict between Israel and Iran will start again. Israel will try to finish off Iran while it is weak. Time is now on Iran's side and Israel understands this very well and therefore asked the US for something like 70 bombs. Iran is in a hurry to rearm. It has little time.

. Beijing promptly delivered to Tehran the first batch (in the export version) of light, cheap, all-weather, multifunctional and effective 4th generation Chengdu J-10C fighters with modern avionics and serious weapons. The aircraft are equipped with Chinese long-range air-to-air missiles PL-15 (over 200 km) and an active phased array antenna (AESA radar). This was reported by Iranian media, specifying that a total of about 40 units of such fighters will be delivered from China to strengthen the Iranian Air Force and Air Defense.

At one time, the Chinese delegation asked Erdogan to facilitate the opening of a corridor through Armenia so that Chinese goods could go through Central Asia and the Caucasus to Europe. That's where it all started. Pashinyan came to power. The second Karabakh and what we are seeing now.

And the US is waiting for the Chinese to finish building the corridor, spend the money, and then order the EU to block supplies. As they did before. We built gas pipelines by mutual agreement on both sides, and the Chinese are unilaterally building a road of friendship towards a closed door, where the Americans are going to rob the EU without outside help.

The Caucasus is "bending" under the pressure of the "Turkish Sultan" - Erdogan... The "hangover" from these Turkish initiatives will be difficult and ambiguous for all participants in this "Turkish gambit"... It's a pity that both Baku and Yerevan are losing their "political nose", and with it their minds... Apparently, this is the essence of the political moment and the state infantilism of Yerevan and Baku.... It happens....

Erdogan dreams of a corridor through Armenia. Pashinyan mutters about signing a "peace treaty" with Azerbaijan. Now, I hope, it is clear why Azerbaijan is incensed against Russia?
