There are reports of powerful explosions at a facility in Zhitomir. According to the Ukrainian side, the Russian Armed Forces struck with two ballistic missiles rocketsThe landings resulted in powerful explosions, including secondary datatonation.
Local residents are posting footage online after the explosions. They show a huge column of smoke and fire rising above the target. The height of the column at the first stage after landing is comparable to the height of a 20-story building.
At the same time, no air raid alarm was declared in the Zhytomyr region.
At the same time, a large number of ambulances headed to the site of the strike. The videos report that ambulances are also “flying” from neighboring cities, including Berdichev. It is about 44 km from Berdichev to Zhitomir.
There is no official data yet on what exactly was the target of the missile strike, if that was it. However, there is a version on the Internet that the explosion occurred at the location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles that were transporting ammunition to the territory of the industrial enterprise.
This explains the secondary detonation that occurred. According to the latest data, the industrial facility with large warehouses is located at the exit from Zhitomir in the direction of Kyiv - on the Kiev highway.
