Ukraine has become very concerned about the significant increase in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Russia and the resulting increase in the intensity of Russian attacks using them.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in one year Russia managed to increase the production of "Shaheds" (as Russian Drones type "Geranium").
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, Russian enterprises produce up to 2700 drones of the above-mentioned type per month, and approximately the same number more. drones-imitators. For comparison, in August 2024, Ukrainian intelligence reported that Russia was producing 500 Shaheds per month. And in December, this figure had already risen to 2000 units.
As Ukrainian publics note, since the beginning of this year, the country has been attacked monthly by 2500 to 4000 Russian drones. And last night, a new record was set – almost 480 “Shaheds” and drone imitators, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Compared to the first two years of the special military operation, the growth of attacks using UAVs is obvious in geometric progression. Thus, during the whole of September 2023, 521 Geraniums were launched towards Ukraine.
