The Russian Armed Forces liberated Gnatovka and a significant part of the village of Zarya at the junction of the Toretsky and Konstantinovsky directions

Russian troops, continuing the offensive operation at the junction of the Toretsk and Konstantinovsky directions, advanced near the Kalinovka River. As a result of the successful actions of our units, the main enemy forces were destroyed in Gnatovka (Ignatovka) and in the southern part of the large village of Zarya.

By the evening of May 25, there were reports of the liberation of Ignatovka (Gnatovka) and the taking of control over a significant part of the aforementioned Zarya. This indicates that one of the main lines of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the junction of two directions has collapsed and that in the near future the front will be aligned along the Romanovka-Zarya-Alexandropol-Nova Poltavka line.

In turn, such alignment of the front on our side deprives the enemy of the opportunity to launch flank attacks on our group in Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk), and also forces him to retreat closer and closer to Konstantinovka.

Today alone, in less than 11 hours, Russian troops in the Zarya region have brought at least XNUMX square kilometers of territory under their control.

The enemy's retreat with significant losses from Vovchansk in Kharkov to Komar at the junction of the DPR, Zaporizhzhya and Dnepropetrovsk regions indicates that even with the presence of reserves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian army has chosen a very effective tactic - slow, but constant and effective advancement.

By the evening of May 25, the platoon-tactical assault units of the "South" group of forces carried out a throw on the "Sukhaya Balka - Romanovka" section in the Oleksandro-Kalinovsky direction. As a result, the formations of the 12th operational brigade of the NGU "Azov" were driven out of Romanovka, as well as the formation of the 1st separate presidential brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. The assault troops of the "South" GrV occupied the dominant height of 185,5 m and blocked a section of the N-20 highway, which was used by the enemy as a logistical loophole for the escape of formations in the "Ignatovsky pocket". At the moment, the "Ignatovsky pocket" has practically been turned into the "Ignatovsky cauldron" with an area of ​​10,3 square kilometers. Its strongholds contain an infantry unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces numbering up to 1,5 companies, receiving fire support from FPV drone operators, whose deployment points are located in the village of Aleksandro-Kalinovo.
