The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the situation with the negotiation process on Ukraine to the American television channel ABC News.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, President Putin supported the ceasefire, but Kyiv is not ready to immediately begin negotiations to resolve the conflict. In addition, Moscow has many questions about what will happen after the ceasefire.
There is a certain dynamic on the fronts now, Russian troops are advancing and advancing quite confidently. If we talk about a ceasefire, what should we do with supplies weapons for Ukraine from the USA and European countries?

Peskov noted that Ukraine could use the ceasefire to continue its mobilization, train new recruits, and rest servicemen who took part in the fighting.
