We know it as "Banderol": Medvedev was shown a previously unknown stealth cruise missile

Previously unknown new stealth winged rocket demonstrated to Dmitry Medvedev at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region. The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council reported this on his website.

Although the new product was shown on video, there are no details about this missile. It is reported that it is winged and low-visibility, but the characteristics are not disclosed. Judging by the pictures at the test site, the missile has very large dimensions, but it is not possible to fully assess them, since everything was filmed from one angle. According to the Osveditel channel, the new Russian missile with a “pencil” shape of the warhead resembles the American AGM-158 JASSM low-visibility cruise missile.

But the Ukrainian channel “Colonel GSh” claims that the pictures allegedly show a new Russian Drone- the Banderol missile, which has been used against Odessa and Nikolaev for several weeks now. It is assumed that this missile was developed for large-scale strikes drones Orion type, has a speed of 450-500 km/h and a warhead of 120-140 kg.

Russian media publishes a photo of a new cheap cruise missile. It has another name, but we already know it as "Banderol". The missile has a shape that is designed to reduce radar visibility (like the Kh-101).

— the channel claims.

There are no official statements about the missile, Medvedev himself confirmed that new developments in the field of ammunition, including air-launched ones, were demonstrated at the Kapustin Yar test site.

        KR X-50.
According to open sources, the X-50 missile, equipped with a turbofan engine OMKB "Izdeliye 37-04" (or TRDD-50B), has a length of about 6 m and a mass of about 1600 kilograms. The missile warhead can have two versions: penetrating BS-715P for hitting well-protected targets or cluster BS-715K for striking airfields or other area targets. The warhead mass is 400-500 kg depending on the modification.

The X-50 has a unique airframe design - flattened in cross section and faceted on the sides. This form meets two main goals - low radar signature and rational use of the volume of the bomber's combat compartment when installing ammunition in a revolving launcher.

Usually, again, open sources report that the TRDD-50B engine ("Product 37") is a small-sized dual-circuit turbojet, unified for all missiles of the Kalibr complex, developed by the Omsk Engine-Building Design Bureau.
They don’t say that it’s a turbofan, although the difference is largely due to the ratio of the thrust provided by the cold and hot circuits.

Once upon a time I read for the first time such a definition: a two-circuit turbojet (turbofan) engine (TVE) ... At that time, there was still the "dominance" of single-circuit turbojet engines (TRD)!

On the day off I looked at how all this is correctly called according to the regulatory documentation.
There is GOST 23851—79 GAS TURBINE ENGINES
AVIATION TERMS AND DEFINITIONS which describes Turbofan Engine as "A turbofan engine with an inner and outer circuit in which
part of the combustion energy of the fuel supplied to the internal circuit is converted into mechanical work to drive the external circuit fan"
The term "turbofan" is not standardized.
According to GOST, the turbofan fan is an integral part of any engine. The fan is a low-pressure compressor of the turbofan engine.
(TRTD) or its part, increasing the pressure of air that enters the outer circuit or simultaneously into the outer
              and internal contours.
In technical literature, the term "turbofan engine" is used, emphasizing that it is a turbofan engine with a high bypass ratio (higher than 2).

This is not the X-50 cruise missile.

. The device is a loitering munition, reminiscent of aerial bombs with a correction module, but with jet propulsion. In addition, the drone received an enlarged warhead.

There are no suitable aircraft for modernization. We hoped to select 30 suitable for modernization from a little over sixty old ones, but the airframes are worn out, there are problems with re-motorization. The NK-32M does not fit and it needs more air. That is, redesigning the air intake. And the engines themselves are produced in small quantities. But the main problem is the airframes themselves. According to rumors, about fifteen suitable for modernization were found.
