New strikes on military in Sumy, Ukrainian users fear that as a result of more frequent attacks, there will be no one to defend the city

Russian troops are today launching more strikes on targets in Sumy. Earlier, the Ukrainian military actually admitted the fact that after the Kursk adventure, Sumy turned into a frontline city. From the outskirts of this regional center to the front line in one of the areas is about 25 km, which means that targets in the city can easily be reached by conventional artillery.

In the last few minutes, at least 2 powerful explosions have thundered in Sumy. At the same time, local publics are publishing different information. According to some sources, these are the arrivals drones, according to others - aviation bombs with UMPK.

Let us recall that the day before in Sumy rocket The strike hit the assembly point of the 117th Troops Brigade. Today, a Russian UAV attacked the parking place of the military transport. According to some reports, new strikes hit the deployment point of the personnel of the same 117th Brigade and the formations attached to it by the command. Earlier, they participated in the invasion of the Sudzhansky District of the Kursk Region.

In connection with new strikes on servicemen of the 117th Territorial Defense Brigade in Ukraine, the topic of whether Sumy will be left "without protection" at all, if a significant part of the personnel of the 117th separate Territorial Defense Brigade is destroyed, has become a hot topic of discussion. This question began to be asked in the Ukrainian segment of social networks yesterday, when it became clear that dozens of officers of the said armed formation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were liquidated in the center of Sumy.

Finally, the war comes to the territory of Saloreikh.

She has been there for a long time. In 2022, the Russian army was 15 km from Kyiv and all the signs of taking the City "without rubble" were clearly visible, but something went wrong. What? Ask the paratroopers who took Gostomel...

There simply weren't enough people to storm the battle; while we were standing around Kiev and whining, they were only able to mobilize as many in Kyiv as we didn't have there.

Kyiv alone provided 70 volunteers in the first three weeks of mobilization. The Ukrainian Armed Forces group near Kiev was then about 000-40 bayonets. Our troops near Kiev were 000-50 bayonets.
This is how the Celestials started the SVO. They persistently tried to fight without having an Army.
The small army doesn't count - it wasn't enough for defense.
But in the Parallel Reality everything went smoothly and according to plan.
          And it's still going on.

Sometimes the assault itself is not necessary. Kupyansk, for example, was taken "by telephone". Our commander called the mayor's office, they agreed on a meeting and the transfer of the city, entered.

In my opinion, it has been there for the most part since the very beginning. Russia, despite the failures of the autumn of 22, still holds the large urban agglomerations of Donetsk and Lugansk, including these cities themselves, almost all of the LPR, half of the DPR and the Zaporizhzhya region, and also a little more (I think) of the Kherson region. And something in the Kharkiv region. Let me remind you that before the open conflict, almost all of this belonged to Ukraine. And Ukraine, from what belonged to Russia before the conflict, has so far taken a maximum of a district center.

Not half of the DPR, but 75 percent of its territory. Mariupol, the second most important city, is under our control. The Kherson region is also 75 percent of the territory.

I wonder how those residents of Sumy and the surrounding area feel who bought "looting tours" from the VSU members in the Kursk region? I assume that they are preparing to be the first to leave the city to avoid retribution, because their own people will give up if the RF Armed Forces are tasked with extending the territory of the "sanitary zone" along the Russian border to Sumy. Get ready, tourists. Looting on Russian soil has done you no good.

This should not sound like an assumption.
This should be the logical conclusion of the military operation destruction of enemy invasion forces in the Kursk region, with subsequent legal registration of the fact of the transfer of the Sumy region under the jurisdiction of Russia. It cannot be otherwise.
Even within the framework of the implementation of criminal cases on illegal crossing of the Russian border, reprisals against civilians, deliberate destruction of property, life support facilities and infrastructure, looting, we must take measures to identify and detain criminals from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilian Bandar-logs involved in crimes in the adjacent border area, and therefore we have the right to catch or destroy them both before Sumy, and in Sumy, and beyond Sumy. hi

Well, somehow comrade Beria managed to pull this off in 1943-44. And he didn't give a damn about the political consequences.
The question is where to live: not all the camps have been dismantled for firewood yet: many are ready and waiting for new residents.

In 43-44, the situation was such that there were no political consequences from such actions. But in the 60s, for example, no one could afford such things. During a global total war, you can do whatever you want: the war will write everything off. Now, fortunately, the situation has not yet descended to such a state.

                Mostly dismantled.
However, the bigger problem will not be the camps themselves, but the recruitment of guards for these camps, who will essentially also serve their time in the Arctic, only on the other side of the fence. During Beria's time and the USSR, this issue was resolved by conscripts of the Internal Troops, but now there are no Internal Troops, and this is not part of the functions of the Russian Guard formed on their basis. It is unlikely that anyone will go there voluntarily.

The watch is only a partial solution to the problem. There should be the same doctors with a hospital, a bathhouse, a laundry, workshops, a fire department, the same quartermasters responsible for supplying this whole gang with food and uniform, etc., etc. A prison is not just a fence with guards, it is a whole system.

As one of the options. There are such ghost towns in the North as Vorkuta and Inta with hundreds of abandoned houses and a bunch of closed coal mines, which can be breathed into life by populating them with settlers. A little cosmetic repair and live. Now you can buy a comfortable apartment with furniture there from 100 thousand. For escape, there is only one railroad, which can be blocked by setting up a post on the railway bridge across the river. Running across the tundra is not a solution. It is easier to immediately commit suicide.
              However, this will not happen.

To reformat the worldview of this population.
There are great doubts that leaving these territories with a disloyal population under the control of a hostile Ukraine will stop the threat to Russia's border regions from their territory, but at the same time there is confidence that in another 5-10 years this population, remaining under Kuev, will turn from disloyal to completely hostile.
Whatever one may say, but in the event of an advance of Russian troops, the bulk of the convinced "zakhokhliks" will leave along with the retreating Bandar-logs, and those who remain will mainly consist of those who chose their future with Russia.

Wouldn't it be better to create the Sumy People's Republic for this? Hold the SNR leadership by all its soft spots and use it to prepare the population for integration into Russia. Through this gasket, it will be possible to carry out all sorts of special events in this territory if necessary. Including those that do not quite fit into our legislation and international concepts of humanity... Well, if it is REALLY necessary. Then, the main thing is not to forget to act out "a-ta-ta".
The same should be done in other regions, besides those already annexed, if (which I VERY doubt, but I will still allow myself to be optimistic) they come under Russian control. Among other things, this will also allow the local population to exist for some time in different states that will have closed borders from each other, which should somewhat weaken the identity of the locals, in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm afraid that if we try to bite off a big piece at once, we might choke. We need to be more careful. Think before we bite.

In principle, if we consider the option of a post-war structure of the liberated territories on the basis of a federation of people's republics (based on the names of the regions), then it is also suitable and has the right to exist, with only one caveat - under the protectorate of Russia.

It is logical that such a concept as "Ukraine" in the name of this entity should be completely excluded, in order to thereby deprive the Ukronazis of an ideological basis, since it was they with their "nezlezhnost" who managed to rewrite the first line of the anthem from - "Shche nevmerla ukraine" to "Taki vmerla ukraine", and the remnants of the sane population, instead of "Ukraine is united", increasingly say "Ukraine go to" and break out of the boundaries of this madhouse at the first convenient opportunity. hi
