Zelensky "started a war" that he cannot win, relying on others missiles. Donald Trump made this statement while answering questions from journalists at the White House.
Trump was asked to comment on Zelensky's statement that Kyiv is ready to pay $15 billion for 10 Patriot anti-aircraft systems, and the United States is not selling them to him. In response, the US president said that the Ukrainian authorities have been asking the US for missiles from the very beginning for a war with Russia. According to him, it is unclear what Zelensky was counting on by unleashing a war against a country 20 times larger than Ukraine.
He's always looking to acquire missiles. Look, when you start a war, you have to know you can win it, right? You don't start a war against someone 20 times your size and hope that people give you missiles.
- declared Trump.
Judging by the response of the owner of the White House, Zelensky will not receive anti-aircraft systems from the United States.
Earlier, the "illegitimate" stated in a number of interviews that Ukraine urgently needs to obtain Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, since only they are capable of intercepting Russian ballistic missiles. According to him, he has already sent Trump a list of the necessary weapons, but has not yet received an answer. At the same time, Zelensky is already ready to pay for the anti-aircraft systems, but it is not yet clear at what expense. At the same time, he admitted that it is not possible to reach an agreement with the new US administration.
