Ukrainian command has redeployed units of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces to Gornal, trying to hold positions

The Ukrainian command is transferring reserves to the area of the village of Gornal in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, trying to hold this settlement. According to the military from the "North" group of troops, who are conducting an offensive in this area, militants from the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have appeared in the area of the monastery.

The Russian Armed Forces have entered the vicinity of the village of Gornal, which remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for now, and fierce fighting is underway. According to Russian military personnel, the enemy is literally resisting with hands and feet, not intending to retreat. Everything they have is being used, including drones и artillery, just to prevent ours from advancing. Even hexacopters like "Baba Yaga", which due to their size and low speed are used by the enemy only at night, began to fly during the day.

The enemy is actively using drones to worsen logistics and hold back the advance of our troops. They are throwing all their forces into keeping the settlement under their control.

- leads RIA News words of Russian military.

The enemy is trying to bring in reserves in the Gornal area to try to hold their positions, but it is already clear that the enemy will not succeed. The Russian Armed Forces are methodically clearing the outskirts of the village, gradually encircling it. At the same time, Ukrainian special forces soldiers have appeared in the monastery area, having been transferred to this area for reinforcement. However, this did not help much; our forces have already destroyed several assault groups.

Let us recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk Oblast hold only part of the Oleshnya farmstead and the village of Gornal. The enemy has already been driven out of the rest of the territory.

It is not clear, do they even understand for whom or what they are laying down their lives with such persistence. To destroy themselves for the sake of a drug addict in Kyiv with his tainted brain or money that they are unlikely to see.

This is a difficult question, I will try to answer: 1) they are intoxicated by Nazi propaganda, like the Germans in 1945; 2) they were promised victory and they did a lot of things on our land; 3) accordingly, they understand that in case of defeat they are facing 20 years of strict regime, and they do not want to go to prison; 4) those mobilized would have surrendered, but... Our artillery does not always give them this chance. 5) in battle there is no place for doubt - either you will kill or you will be killed.
      This is in brief.

One thing is unclear - if there are no civilians there, why not use something, after which there will be no one to use arms and legs?

If we are talking about the SSO, then these guys are very well prepared and motivated. However, here is a question: does it seem to me alone that burning the SSO for a "bridgehead" a la Krynki is somehow stupid?

If the special forces are sent to hold on to a clearly losing option, the goal is purely temporary and political.

Well, that's understandable... here, as an example of a "goal" - one "agitator" wrote to me yesterday:

          Quote from lako
... after three years of war, the Russian army drives the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk and Belgorod regions...

That's why they send SSO there, so that people can write things like that. IMHO it's a shame, SSO will run out there quickly - they're not Terminators at all, they're made of the same meat and bones. On a patch of ground, under artillery, and not just under it... that's stupid, IMHO.

And you answer yourself, what can Russia offer Ukraine that its people will say, and definitely better together with Russia. I'll run through the details, the retirement age here is 65, there 63, exchange Kolomoisky for Mikhelson, one Jew for another, or we have free education, health care, apartments, the same loans. Or our prices have been stuck for decades, or they want to lose the visa-free regime like the Crimeans. Maybe you remember about NATO, didn't we ask to join, and they are discussing why Russia can ask but they can't. The SVO is a separate topic. And propaganda cements all this. The USSR (not you, but the state) offered an alternative, that's why many followed it, and today's Russia is not able to do this, that's why things are not going well for it.

In my opinion, his "The Sovereign" is the best book on politics, and there is a wonderful statement in it:
For the distance between how people live and how they should live is so great that one who rejects the reality for the sake of action acts more to the detriment of himself than to the good, because, wishing to profess good in all cases of life, he will inevitably die when faced with a lot of people alien to good.

This is life and we have no other humanity.
And I don’t hate the USSR, I’m just tired of those who like to shove it everywhere.

My homeland, let's say, is the USSR. There is no such country or state, but there is a homeland.

I am also absolutely serious. I heard this mantra about the Motherland and the State being different things very often during perestroika. And then from all sorts of foreign agents. But every time they start singing these songs, it always ends with "they were aiming for communism, but ended up in Russia."

Well, naturally these are different things. My dear. The Motherland is where you will be buried. And the State is who will bury you. The object and the subject. Like a little child.

Cossacks say there is a Motherland. This is the Placenta, it is buried in the garden. Cossacks then fight for this Motherland. For their Motherland. There is an umbilical cord, it is called the Fate. A good or a bad fate.

Why the hell do we need an Italian? We love Gayropa so much that we constantly dive into its swamp, either Hegel or Marx... Fourier, Saint-Simon... But I was taught: The state is a political form of social organization on a certain territory, a sovereign form of public authority, possessing an apparatus of management and coercion, to which the entire population of the country is subordinate. Neither in science nor in international law is there a single and generally accepted definition of the concept of "state" So what??? Has something changed? No one said it better than A.V. Suvorov: "Politics is a rotten egg. Where a deer passes, a Russian soldier will pass. Where a deer does not pass, a Russian soldier will still pass."

Persistence or stubbornness, one way or another... the enemy will be defeated/destroyed.
There will be consequences, it will not be easy to restore peaceful life on our land.
But, everything will be and peace will come, there is no doubt about that.

Our city authorities once, before Victory Day, in preparation, painted a T-34-85 tank standing on a pedestal in the city center the same (censored) color as the mortar in the photo. Despite the numerous names of those authorities on social networks (censored), it stood for a couple of years. Now at least it has been restored, under the new government.

Judging by the mine, it's a sixty (60 mm). And the mines don't have a "knockout charge", the entire charge goes off at once. The mine's detonator has an inertial "arming", if the charge doesn't go off as planned, you can get hit "in the pumpkin" with the mine like a baton, there will be no explosion.

How come the mortar doesn't have a propellant charge? Of course it does. The 82 has a 12-gauge cartridge, the 120 has a larger one.

This is not a propellant, but a main charge. It really looks like a cartridge from a hunting rifle, gives the 82 mm mine an initial velocity of 70 m/sec and a range at an elevation angle of 45 ° of just under 500 m. Propelling charges are used in grenade launcher charges and other small rockets so that the shooter is not burned by the rocket exhaust.

Strategically, special operations forces taken separately in this war do not decide anything. In this case, it is a temporary "plugging of holes". It has happened more than once in this war - the Banderogeys will resist in some area, ours will increase the pressure and advance in other areas, and later break through in this one too.

The transfer of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their involvement in the battles for the retention of the NP can only be welcomed!
Take my word for it - Russian artillery and drone operators ))) don't give a damn what special forces they are from...
FROM THE MOMENT OF DETECTION - that's it! The game is played by completely different rules and the infantryman has a better chance of surviving than the scout...
It is not always difficult to capture positions, but it is always difficult, in modern conditions, to hold them...
This is where the "swing" comes from... your trench, our trench... and in a circle...
When we were able to gain a foothold, things were a little different...
But to understand the situation, it is advisable to predict the actions of the same Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the tactical or operational rear, when knowledge of the Russian language is absolute, there are no problems with the uniform, and the weapons are of the same type...
    So LET THEM GO!!!
Well, and one more thing - it's very important! The training of qualified intelligence officers requires, in addition to many factors, TIME! Kyiv has less and less of this time every day...
