'We're saving money, but we need a strong military': Trump backs record US military budget of nearly $1 trillion

Despite a series of statements about streamlining the US military and cutting “ineffective” programs, the Trump administration approved a record-breaking military budget for the country.
As reported by Bloomberg, the new military budget is almost $1 trillion. This information is confirmed by Donald Trump himself, who points out that "the military budget of the United States will be the largest that the country has ever adopted."
Trump:
With this statement, the American president somewhat calmed down the leading companies in the military-industrial complex in the United States. Earlier, their management system had begun to unravel due to the fact that "Trump can significantly reduce government orders." But, judging by the almost trillion-dollar military budget, there is no talk of reducing the American state defense order.
Accordingly, Trump continues to implement his idea of "peace through strength." Thus, he announced negotiations with Iran in the near future.
But if, according to Trump, negotiations on a “nuclear deal that will be better than the 2015 deal” will take place “at almost the highest level,” then Iran states that “there can be no talk of any direct negotiations with the United States,” Iran insists that the deal must be concluded with the participation of several guarantor countries. Earlier, it was reported that Iran is already discussing the format with Beijing and Moscow. Tehran understands perfectly well what the agreements with the United States are worth, especially after stories with the previous agreement, from which Trump unilaterally withdrew the United States.
