OAO Nizhny Novgorod Shipyard OJSC will build, by order of the Ministry of Defense 16, boats for the integrated rescue support of the 23040 project for three years, reports RIA News"with reference to the press service of the enterprise.
The first four boats will be delivered and sent to Novorossiysk (Black Sea Fleet). Three more will be part of the Caspian flotilla and nine will be transferred to the Baltic Fleet (three to Kronstadt and six to Baltiysk), the agency notes.
As the general director of the plant, Sergey Konovalov, said, "the vessels will be equipped with the most modern means of navigation, radio navigation, communications, necessary ship devices, diving equipment," RIA Novosti reports.
