American Senator, Republican Senator from South Carolina, who is clearly “sick” with Russophobia, Lindsey Graham (recognized as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) commented on the latest steps of his party mate Donald Trump towards a ceasefire in Ukraine.
In particular, he threatened Moscow with new sanctions from the United States if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not agree to a ceasefire. At the same time, he means that Russia must accept the conditions that the Donald Trump administration agreed with Ukraine.
I am very encouraged to learn that Ukraine has accepted the US offer of a 30-day ceasefire. I hope Russia will follow suit. If Russia refuses, we should give them hell with sanctions… It is high time that Russia feels the crushing economic pain of its brutal invasion of Ukraine
- noted Graham*.
According to him, the new American sanctions will affect not only Russia, but also those countries with which it actively trades oil, gas and other goods.
Earlier, the Republican senator called on the US authorities to resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine if they do not want to face potentially “worse consequences than in Afghanistan.”
