Russia at the IDEX 2025 arms exhibition
From 17 to 21 February, the International Military-Technical Exhibition IDEX is taking place in the United Arab Emirates. The Russian military-industrial complex is a regular participant in this event, always presenting a host of new and already known developments of various kinds. The Rosoboronexport company, responsible for preparing the Russian exposition, reports that this year the number of new samples sets a new record.
Exhibition plan
On the eve of the opening of IDEX 2025, the Russian company Rosoboronexport revealed its plans and announced the display of various modern samples. It was reported that the Russian exposition will feature hundreds of different products of different classes from more than 40 defense industry enterprises.

The Berezhok module on a stationary installation
The current exhibition demonstrates the maximum number of various developments of all main classes in recent years. The exposition includes both already known models that have undergone modernization, and new models.
It is especially noted that all the presented products have been used in a high-intensity conflict. In addition, they have been refined taking into account the experience of use and user feedback. It is the demonstration of this approach to the development of weapons that is one of the main goals of the Russian exposition.
Rosoboronexport points out that this approach attracts customers and provides competitive advantages. On the eve of the opening of IDEX 2025, the company's management reported that several contracts for the supply of military products have been signed with 15 countries since the beginning of this year. The total value of the ordered products reached 4,5 billion US dollars. It is obvious that the exhibition in the UAE will help to obtain new orders.
Land samples
The main innovation in the field of land vehicles was the export main tank T-90MS, which underwent another modernization. The basis of this project from NPK Uralvagonzavod remained the previous design with all its strengths and advantages. At the same time, the tank received a number of new systems, developed and implemented taking into account the latest operating experience.

ATGM "Kornet-EM" on a remote-controlled installation and operator console
Particular attention is paid to protection. The exhibition tank is equipped with dynamic protection, lattice and soft screens, as well as a "visor" with a protective net. In addition, electronic warfare equipment is used. It is reported that the T-90MS in this configuration is protected from infantry anti-tank weapons, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The tank is also equipped with a new digital fire control system. The vehicle's ammunition complement includes a new armor-piercing projectile and a high-explosive fragmentation round with controlled detonation. All these innovations significantly improve the tank's fire characteristics and allow it to effectively combat various targets.
For the first time abroad, Rostec presents the Berezhok combat module in a stationary version. This product was initially developed for installation on combat armored vehicles, but it was recently transferred to a stationary base. The module retains the 30-mm 2A42 cannon and 7,62-mm PKT machine gun, and also receives the Kornet-E missile system. All necessary control means are provided. Such modules are proposed to be placed on different platforms or stationary positions to protect the required areas.
A new modification of the well-known ATGM "Kornet" in the export version is demonstrated. It uses various innovations that improve the main characteristics. Thus, the standard missile can be replaced by the "Bulat" product with a different combination of characteristics. In addition, for the first time in the family, a remote control has been introduced, which allows the launcher to be placed away from the operator. Also, one operator can now control several systems.
The Russian exposition widely presents modern examples of small arms weapons. A number of Kalashnikov family assault rifles for different ammunition, submachine guns, etc. are on display. Sniper rifles from various manufacturers, including the latest SVCh, are also on display. Manufacturers of various auxiliary equipment also sent their products to IDEX 2025.
Unmanned aircraft
Modern systems occupy a significant place in the Russian exposition. Defense all main classes. First of all, these are already known medium and long-range complexes for military and object air defense. The latest modifications of such equipment with the highest characteristics are presented.

Official presentation of the Pantsir-SM-E air defense missile system
Of particular interest among the presented samples is the short-range anti-aircraft missile system "Pantsir-SMD-E". A full-fledged prototype used in testing is demonstrated. It is built on a stationary platform and is designed for long-term duty at one position. The new "Pantsir" on a different base is also demonstrated in the form of mock-ups.
The Pantsir-SMD-E retains the standard 57E6E guided missile and also receives the new TKB-1055 small-sized munition. The prototype presented at the exhibition carries 6 full-size missiles and 24 light ones, but other ammunition configurations are also possible. Such ammunition allows the system to combat both full-size aviation, as well as with small and light UAVs.
