From 17 to 21 February, the International Military-Technical Exhibition IDEX is taking place in the United Arab Emirates. The Russian military-industrial complex is a regular participant in this event, always presenting a host of new and already known developments of various kinds. The Rosoboronexport company, responsible for preparing the Russian exposition, reports that this year the number of new samples sets a new record.

Exhibition plan

On the eve of the opening of IDEX 2025, the Russian company Rosoboronexport revealed its plans and announced the display of various modern samples. It was reported that the Russian exposition will feature hundreds of different products of different classes from more than 40 defense industry enterprises.

The Berezhok module on a stationary installation

The current exhibition demonstrates the maximum number of various developments of all main classes in recent years. The exposition includes both already known models that have undergone modernization, and new models.

It is especially noted that all the presented products have been used in a high-intensity conflict. In addition, they have been refined taking into account the experience of use and user feedback. It is the demonstration of this approach to the development of weapons that is one of the main goals of the Russian exposition.

Rosoboronexport points out that this approach attracts customers and provides competitive advantages. On the eve of the opening of IDEX 2025, the company's management reported that several contracts for the supply of military products have been signed with 15 countries since the beginning of this year. The total value of the ordered products reached 4,5 billion US dollars. It is obvious that the exhibition in the UAE will help to obtain new orders.

Land samples

The main innovation in the field of land vehicles was the export main tank T-90MS, which underwent another modernization. The basis of this project from NPK Uralvagonzavod remained the previous design with all its strengths and advantages. At the same time, the tank received a number of new systems, developed and implemented taking into account the latest operating experience.

ATGM "Kornet-EM" on a remote-controlled installation and operator console

Particular attention is paid to protection. The exhibition tank is equipped with dynamic protection, lattice and soft screens, as well as a "visor" with a protective net. In addition, electronic warfare equipment is used. It is reported that the T-90MS in this configuration is protected from infantry anti-tank weapons, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The tank is also equipped with a new digital fire control system. The vehicle's ammunition complement includes a new armor-piercing projectile and a high-explosive fragmentation round with controlled detonation. All these innovations significantly improve the tank's fire characteristics and allow it to effectively combat various targets.

For the first time abroad, Rostec presents the Berezhok combat module in a stationary version. This product was initially developed for installation on combat armored vehicles, but it was recently transferred to a stationary base. The module retains the 30-mm 2A42 cannon and 7,62-mm PKT machine gun, and also receives the Kornet-E missile system. All necessary control means are provided. Such modules are proposed to be placed on different platforms or stationary positions to protect the required areas.

UAVs different types from Zala Aero and the Kalashnikov concern

A new modification of the well-known ATGM "Kornet" in the export version is demonstrated. It uses various innovations that improve the main characteristics. Thus, the standard missile can be replaced by the "Bulat" product with a different combination of characteristics. In addition, for the first time in the family, a remote control has been introduced, which allows the launcher to be placed away from the operator. Also, one operator can now control several systems.

The Russian exposition widely presents modern examples of small arms weapons. A number of Kalashnikov family assault rifles for different ammunition, submachine guns, etc. are on display. Sniper rifles from various manufacturers, including the latest SVCh, are also on display. Manufacturers of various auxiliary equipment also sent their products to IDEX 2025.

Unmanned aircraft

Modern systems occupy a significant place in the Russian exposition. Defense all main classes. First of all, these are already known medium and long-range complexes for military and object air defense. The latest modifications of such equipment with the highest characteristics are presented.

Official presentation of the Pantsir-SM-E air defense missile system

Of particular interest among the presented samples is the short-range anti-aircraft missile system "Pantsir-SMD-E". A full-fledged prototype used in testing is demonstrated. It is built on a stationary platform and is designed for long-term duty at one position. The new "Pantsir" on a different base is also demonstrated in the form of mock-ups.

The Pantsir-SMD-E retains the standard 57E6E guided missile and also receives the new TKB-1055 small-sized munition. The prototype presented at the exhibition carries 6 full-size missiles and 24 light ones, but other ammunition configurations are also possible. Such ammunition allows the system to combat both full-size aviation, as well as with small and light UAVs.

Advertising and promotion

The IDEX military and technical exhibition, held in the UAE every two years, is the largest such event in the Middle East. It consistently attracts the attention of the region's armies and security agencies. Representatives from different countries get acquainted with new developments in various fields, and this is often followed by negotiations on supplies.

The Russian defense industry has been a regular participant in IDEX exhibitions since their inception. It considers this exhibition one of the main events in promoting its products on the international market. With the help of this event, it is possible to find customers in the Middle East and neighboring regions.

Russian companies have participated in all IDEX exhibitions since the very first one in 1993. Thanks to these events, over the last three decades it has been possible to receive a lot of orders for the supply of various weapons and samples. The commercial results of the current IDEX 2025 exhibition will be known later, but it is already clear that it will bring new orders.

Well, in connection with the current "warming" of Russian-American relations, the Russian defense industry has a chance to "push" something on the market! In general...we'll chew and see!

Not in connection with the "warming" of Russian-American relations, but in connection with the success of Russian weapons in the Central Military District, which demonstrated their relevance and effectiveness.

Bradley is 5 times more expensive than BMP-3 and also burns to smithereens and so on in almost everything. It is much cheaper to stoke the fire of war with our weapons. There was information about the order book for 2025 for a record 52 yards$

Cheaper, yes, especially when there are so many Soviet galoshes at the storage bases. But the combat effectiveness of such armored vehicles for infantry is much lower on the battlefield, and most importantly - the survivability of the infantry in these armored vehicles. In the late USSR, they already thought about this problem, there were developments and prototypes of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles with reinforced armor and a desire to get heavy armored personnel carriers and heavy infantry fighting vehicles on a tank chassis and with the same level of protection. But they did not have time.

There was information that the total order portfolio is 60 billion dollars, but this is definitely not for one year.

          rams from Rostec

Why do sheep from all over the world buy Russian weapons of all classes and types without stopping, preferring them to other analogues and even their own developments?
Apparently, the "sheep" from Rostec are not the dumbest of all the sheep. Considering how many countries buy Russian weapons and for what amounts of money, our "sheep" are even some of the smartest in the world.

Blessed are those who believe! Life is easy for them! If the US wants it, then Trump will shout at the "potential buyers" of Russian weapons... and they will refuse "with a sigh"! And talk about "concluded billion-dollar contracts" is, most likely, just talk, that is, agreements of intent! That is, promises! And, as folk wisdom says, a promise to marry may not end in marriage! No.

warming of Russian-American relations, a chance has appeared

What reality do you live in?
The Russian defense industry has always been indifferent to relations with the US. The Arabs have always bought Russian weapons, the Indians have always, regardless of what you think.

And what time are you? 20-30 years ago? My God! You should at least look on the Internet at how many Russian "purchases" "your beloved" Arabs have refused in recent years! Or "adored" "Hindus"!

We looked on the Internet to see how many Russian "purchases" have been refused in recent years

Well, if it's so easy to find, maybe you can show me what purchases the Arabs and Indians have refused because of the US ban?

I didn't say that it can be done quickly... show all "refusals"! It takes some time! I don't want to waste time to present information on a "blue platter"! Everything can be found on the Internet! Ask questions like changes in the structure of military purchases by countries (Egypt, India,....) in recent years (at the beginning of the 21st century....) Or refusal of "3rd world" countries from military purchases in Russia...
So....You do it yourself, you do it yourself!

Or the refusal of the "3rd world" countries to purchase military goods from Russia...
So....You do it yourself, you do it yourself!

So, in response to this request, the first thing that came up was your own unfounded assertion.
There are mentions that it is Russia that intends to reduce the import of military products.
And only one link specifically about what you issued. And by the link - withcatch from an unnamed source, that he considers it "unlikely" that a major deal will be concluded in response to the Russian Federation's call for increasing the scale of cooperation.
That is, according to your request, I could only find rumor about the Indians' intention not to increase the volume of purchases, but here, in addition to the USA, China has somehow also gotten involved, and something has been said about local production in India.
It looks like confirmation of the strong position of the Russian Federation in the arms market against the backdrop of complex and ambiguous procurement processes.
And not just "the Americans said 'hush'."
(and it seems that this is not the first time that the Indians have been rushing from side to side, trying to negotiate ideal deals on two chairs)

                1. Indonesia has refused to purchase Su-35 (reason: anti-Russian sanctions, US pressure); 2. The issue of purchasing Su-35 by Egypt is "hanging in the air"... (neither yes nor no). Reasons: the same...; 3. The Philippines have refused to purchase Mi-17 helicopters... (reasons are the same!) 4. Egypt is purchasing Italian helicopters.... When considering the proposals, Russian proposals were not considered at all! Reasons are the same... And all this has happened recently...

The Americans won't give up such a profitable market without a fight. And we are not their competitors, but China. In principle, there is nothing new or significant at the exhibition, and if you dig into the "insides" of our weapons, then there may not be that much of ours there either. They will buy something, but who and what needs to be looked at.

It is especially noted that all the presented products have been used in high-intensity conflicts.

The SVO is a Low Intensity conflict by all parameters except losses. Unlike the US, Russia does not have the concepts of the KNI and OVD. We call it a special operation. Moreover, the SVO is conducted using outdated, non-modern methods with the use of supposedly modern weapons. We do not have concepts for conducting modern warfare even at the tactical level... They have not been developed or adopted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia.
