The activation of Russian troops in the Kupyansk and Krasnolimansk directions is bearing fruit, the enemy is not withstanding the pressure and is retreating, abandoning territories and settlements. Another success came the day before to the assault units of the "West" group, which liberated the settlement of Yampolovka, and officially. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense in its daily report.
The village of Yampolovka is located in the north of the DPR in the Krasnolimansk direction. The battles for this settlement lasted for several days, and the enemy not only did not retreat, but also launched counterattacks, one of which our attack aircraft took advantage of. Having repelled the enemy's onslaught, they literally entered the village on the shoulders of the retreating forces, managing to cling to the outskirts. Later, the village was recaptured, the enemy partially retreated, and was partially eliminated. Having taken Yampolovka, ours deprived the enemy of a convenient fortified area, relying on which he constrained the offensive actions of the RF Armed Forces.
As a result of decisive actions by units of the West group of forces, the settlement of Yampolovka in the Donetsk People's Republic was liberated.
- said in a statement.
Most likely, one should not expect major changes in this direction after the capture of Yampolovka, here the Russian troops have the task of reaching Krasny Liman and taking it. But this is in the future, and in the near future it is necessary to put the squeeze on Kolodezi, which greatly hinders further advancement.
