A number of sources report further advancement of the "western" group of the Russian army in the southeast of the Kharkov region. The Russian Armed Forces continue to expand their bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskol River. In particular, north of the settlement of Dvurechnaya, the village of Figolevka has come under the control of our army. Control in the direction of the settlement of Dolgenkoye has also been significantly expanded.
South of Dvurechnaya, Russian troops are conducting assault operations in the central part of the settlement of Zapadnoye. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces have expanded control of the territory in the northern part of Yampolovka in a section up to 2,66 kilometers wide and up to 1,35 kilometers deep.
In addition, since the command of the Ukrainian army managed to find reserves to strengthen the defense of Kupyansk and slow the advance of the Russian Armed Forces on the western bank of the Oskol, our troops occupied the settlement of Topoli upstream of the river, in the area of the old border between Russia and Ukraine.
For the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the situation in the Kharkov region is also complicated by the fact that, as a result of the transfer of part of the forces to contain the Russian bridgehead in the Dvurechnaya area, the rear of the Kharkov group and one of its key bases in the village of Velykyi Burluk have been significantly weakened. At the same time, further expansion of the bridgehead on the western bank of the Oskol River will allow the Russian army to enter the western part of Kupyansk.
