Many interceptor drones, including those resembling a flying saucer: Israel presents solutions for effective combat against UAVs

Against the backdrop of the rapidly growing role drones of various types in modern conflicts, defense companies around the world are trying to develop the best way to counter these weapons.

It is worth noting that the main “problem” of combating UAVs is the cost of such an event. drones, used for strikes both directly on the LBS and at long distances of hundreds of kilometers, are relatively cheap. At the same time, anti-missiles in the complexes Defense, which can effectively neutralize the threat, cost tens of times more.

Today, many countries around the world are already developing weapons that would allow them to combat UAVs in less expensive ways. At the same time, a number of such means were recently presented by developers from Israel.

It is worth noting that among the samples there are several variants of firearms weapons, ranging from machine guns, including the tripod-mounted minigun (a rapid-fire machine gun built on the Gatling design) and up to aviation cannons.

Also presented are combat modules installed on armored vehicles.

Meanwhile, special attention is drawn to the abundance of drones that are designed to destroy their own kind.

One notable example is a quadcopter with a net that it throws onto enemy UAVs from above.

Another drone interceptor reminds rocket, which takes off vertically and rams an enemy drone from below at high speed.

There is even a drone similar to a flying saucer. It is also used as a battering ram.

It is worth adding that this is only part of Israel's promising developments designed to combat UAVs. Previously, developers from the Jewish state presented a system designed to protect against threats posed by drones, which can be used both on the ground and on various platforms, including manned and unmanned vehicles.

And yet....nothing new! "Duplicated" what appeared "at different times and in different countries"! In particular, in the SVO! In general, if in the words of a certain "movie hero", then: "Everything was invented before "us"!" You can ... "pour and drink"! Which is what they do in Israel! Unfortunately, in Russia, for some reason, this is not always possible! Maybe the SVO will correct the convolutions in the "kettles" of the sovereign's "blockheads"? Do you believe in this? It is not proper for Russia to yield in the technical aspect to fascist Israel!

Well, this is already being used in Ukraine in full force, so there is nothing particularly "remarkable" here... And ramming drones are also used... Well, of course, well done... They don't wait until they are given something like that... I'm just afraid that all this will end up in Ukraine and far from our side...

The confrontation between shield and sword continues.
Whenever a new weapon appeared, a search for means of protection and counteraction began. And after some time, the new weapon, which claimed to be a "wunderwaffe", became nothing more than another annoying obstacle, the same will happen with drones.
Low-power, inexpensive laser installations on turrets will appear - for the destruction of drones, and no need for whining and moaning about "they don't work in rain and fog", homing drones-interceptors, net throwers, shotguns paired with OLS, and a lot of other things will appear. And then an inexpensive and universal solution will appear, significantly reducing the effectiveness of all these drones.
And the struggle between shield and sword will go into a new circle!

Lots of interceptor drones, including flying saucer-like ones: Israel presents solutions for effective counter-UAV combat

even the "hedgehog" already understood this...
but nothing is said about the most important thing: about detecting attacking UAVs...
After all, before I shoot a duck, I have to see it!
and how to detect a UAV in ambush?

The main problem of combating UAVs is that the Earth is round! And UAVs can suicidal fly at low and very low altitudes. Quadcopters can also very accurately regulate the thrust of the propellers, which allows them to precisely control the flight altitude. The main problem of combating UAVs is the problem of detection, tracking and targeting.

If so many remedies are tried, it means that the most effective one has not yet been found.

Ideal target for small very cheap anti-drone mines on the ground. A cheaper solution does not occur to me yet.

There are similar ones, but only against helicopters. Destroying drones that are already flying is a necessary thing. I think we need to find and destroy launch sites and operators.

The splash screen photo shows an almost correct universal drone.
