The Ukrainian side has published online the first photos of officers of the national battalion "Predator" who were eliminated as a result of the Russian strike.
Those killed were Senior Lieutenant Denis Glystun, call sign "Sych", Captain Sergei Reznicenko, call sign "Rezya", and Vitaly Chernukh (rank not specified), call sign "Hans".
They were reportedly killed on January 31 as a result of a Russian Armed Forces strike on the temporary deployment point of the Predator national battalion in the area of the settlement of Yunakovka in the Sumy region.
According to open sources, the national battalion "Khishnik" (or "Khizhak" in Ukrainian) of the special police forces was created in March 2022 at the very beginning of the special military operation. The battalion participated in the battles in the Kherson direction in 2022 and the battle for Bakhmut in 2022-23, as well as in the failed counteroffensive in the summer of 2023.
Last autumn, the national battalion "Predator" was spotted in the Kursk region of Russia. Apparently, "Sych", "Rezya" and "Gans" were also there. There is information that they were engaged in looting there.
Earlier, representatives of the underground reported that a group of Ukrainian servicemen preparing to be sent to the Kursk region came under Russian attack near the city of Sumy.
