About 50 thousand Ukrainian servicemen of all branches of the armed forces will be transferred to infantry units

By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky, about 50 thousand servicemen of the Ukrainian army will be transferred from other branches of the armed forces to infantry units. According to Ukrainian sources, about 20% of all Ukrainian servicemen who are currently directly at the front are subject to transfer.
The corresponding decision is due to the shortage of assault infantry and the impossibility of containing the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces. In particular, the shortage of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel is noted in the border region of the Kursk region, in a number of sections of the line of combat contact in the Kharkov region, as well as in the areas of the cities of Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk), Chasov Yar and Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) in the DPR.
In order to be able to continue the defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need to launch a rotation mechanism, but the resources coming to the Ukrainian army from training centers are only enough for a minimal replenishment of units, and not for a full-fledged provision of the combat component. The Ukrainian army command intends to ensure the replenishment of personnel losses by strengthening mobilization measures.
However, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces units are destroyed on the battlefield, not only the problem of rotations but also combat coordination increases, as a result of which brigades that have been staffed and sent to the front often completely lose their combat capability within a relatively short period of time.
At the same time, despite significant losses in manpower and military equipment and the lack of military expediency of this operation, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is striving by any means to maintain the Ukrainian presence in the Kursk region.
