Beslan him "rest in peace"
A mocking cartoonish voice carried some kind of heresy about the school, about special forces, about how the students began to shoot the teachers ... At the same time, my Tema was naive, childishly, smiling. And I was speechless.
“Nastya, this is just such a joke,” Artyom said confusedly.
- No, Tema, this is not a joke, this is a bad, incorrect record ...
And someone after all it thinks out for children, someone starts in the children's environment, their fragile consciousness clogs. What for?
In our next meeting, I will definitely tell Artyom about Alexander Perov, about a courageous man, whose holy vocation was to save lives. About how he and his comrades laid down their heads, rescuing hostages. With conversations, with the personal example of fathers, educators, mentors, the formation of the sons of the Fatherland begins.
FROM THE KIN OF SHOOTERS
The future Hero of Russia and Beslan was born in the town of Viljandi of the Estonian SSR in the family of Colonel Perov Valentin Antonovich, a personnel officer of the GRU special forces, and Zoya Ivanovna, an economist at the city state bank.
Alexander is the second child in the family of Perovs after the eldest son Alexey, he was born early - seven and a half months. Weighed 2400 grams with a growth of forty-five centimeters.
Genes of the Streltsov-Perov family are genes of warriors, defenders, winners. For several centuries, the ancestors of Alexander Perov from generation to generation carried military service. So, Valentin Antonovich did not retreat from his family career, served as chief of intelligence staff. Is it any wonder that the elder brother Alexei, when the time came, went to enroll in a military school in Petrodvorets, then Alexander also stepped onto the military path.
Genes of the Streltsov-Perov family - genes of warriors, defenders, winners
From an early age, the father paid much attention to the physical development of his sons, did not miss the opportunity to do exercises with them. Sasha himself, without a clue, pulled up, squeezed out from the floor, ran with his father along the Sheksna River.
The whole family traveled a lot. Arriving in Moscow, be sure to visit Red Square, the Kremlin, Armory ward. We studied the famous places of Nizhny Novgorod where my mother was born, Zoya Ivanovna, where she went to her relatives on vacation annually.
Alexander Perov - a descendant of the archer in the tenth generation. The Strelets army, created in the middle of the XVI century, for two and a half centuries, maintained order within the Russian state, protected it from external enemies, and conquered new lands.
Streletsky regiments often rebelled against all sorts of oppression and deprivation. They served even Stepan Razin. Peter I dealt with them especially cruelly. Several hundred archers, who were trying to return princess Sophia to the throne, were executed.
Fleeing from the massacre, the archers fled to the Don, to Siberia, to remote villages of the central part of Russia. The ancestor of the Perovs settled in the village of Kolpakovo of the Kostroma region (today Mikhalenino of the Varnavinsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region). He married, joined the peasant labor. In the village he was nicknamed Streltsov.
So it turned out that part of the Streltsov family changed its name. Alexandra Afanasyevna's great-grandmother, insisted that some of them with her husband give birth to her maiden name - Perova - to their children at birth. Great-grandfather Andrei Timofeevich agreed with the will of his wife.
... The Perovs' military family moved from town to town, but Alexander's land raised Varnavinskaya, the land of ancestors. Here, in the north of the Nizhny Novgorod region, he matured, here, to the blessed land, he was constantly returning - relieving fatigue, breathing deeply in fresh air, as if infused with the scent of forests, dipped into Vetluga. As in childhood, he worked side by side with his father on the ground, fished and helped in the construction of a new house. The century-old house, the keeper of generic values - right there, nearby.
As in childhood, Alexander ran early into the taiga, barely noticeable trails ran out into the upper reaches of the Vetluga, returned by the river bank. When the impassable forest thicket came across, dived from the mountain into the river, sailed an impassable place and ran on.
Athletic, well-read, purposeful, responsible, maximalist by nature, he set the bar high for everything. Won, won. So it was in school, so it was in sports, so it was in the service.
In the summer of 1977, Valentina Antonovich was transferred to serve in the city of Cherepovets. It was there, on the Vologda land, that Sasha’s childhood passed, and the first year of schooling, after which Perov Sr. was transferred to Moscow to the MV Frunze Military Academy, one of the main and prestigious forges of military personnel.
In the capital, Alexander enrolled in secondary school №47. At the same time, the parents began to introduce him to the sport, first giving his son to the table tennis school. Having walked there for about a month, Alexander decisively refused to ping-pong. Then Valentin Antonovich gave him a hand-to-hand fight school, but Alexander didn’t linger there too long: the coach made Perov, who had not yet mastered the techniques, fight with the more experienced guys.
The family changed the address again in 1985, because Valentina Antonovich was given an apartment from the academy, located on Kashira highway. Therefore, in the fourth grade, Alexander went to a new school number XXUMX in Orekhovo-Borisovo, - the third in a row. Now she bears the name of Hero.
During training, Sasha seriously became interested in skiing: in the fifth grade, he fulfilled the standard of the first adult level, and in subsequent years he repeatedly won prizes in Moscow championships, took part in the “Skiing of Russia”. In addition, following in the footsteps of his father, Alexander was fond of orienteering. Already as an officer, he did not leave the sport and repeatedly became the winner of competitions at the FSB championships in ski racing, orienteering and official biathlon.
Perov studied with great interest and “excellent”
While still in school, Perov Jr. decided to become a military man. Zoya Ivanovna urged her son to enter Moscow EngineeringPhysical Institute. (At its base was the school of the Olympic reserve, where Alexander was engaged.) In this, her husband supported her, proving to her son that the prestige of the military in the country was falling. Despite the position of the parents, Alexander was going to enroll in a military school and, having passed the exams for one of the five, he was accepted into the Moscow Higher All-Arms Command School.
Perov studied with great interest and “excellent”. In the spring of 1994, he began to engage in hand-to-hand combat, first enrolling in a club at a civilian institution nearest to the school. Then a section of unarmed combat appeared in the school.
As the teacher, Captain Drevko, recalled, Sasha worked hard in the section and soon achieved good results, entered the school team and successfully performed at various competitions. In particular, in 1995, at the Moscow championship among clubs, Perov took the honorable third place, losing only one fight.
In addition, he was still in the national team of the school for skiing, defending his honor at various championships, and also engaged in running, orienteering, shooting and other sports. Thanks to such comprehensive training at the Armed Forces championship in pentathlon (eight kilometers, swimming fifty meters, automatic shooting, gymnastics, obstacle course), Alexander Perov also took the top spot.
KOMSOMOL, DUBROVKA ...
Shortly before the final exams, a commission from Alpha arrived at the school. All candidates, and there were fifteen of them, had to undergo a thorough selection, which included a heavy physical training exam: a three-kilometer cross with a standard of ten minutes, a hundred push-ups from the floor, more than twenty pull-ups on the crossbar. And still fighting sparring with the employee of the unit.
Also, a test of three hundred questions was conducted, on which 90% Alexander answered correctly - with a passing score of 75%. Thus, only one out of fifteen volunteers went to Alpha. After testing, Sasha was asked if he was ready to give his life in rescuing the hostages. The answer was yes.
In the 1996 year, after successfully passing state exams (only one out of four!), Perov was enrolled in an elite special unit. The service in the special forces anti-terror began for him from the position of junior security officer.
There were changes in his personal life: in 1999, Sasha married Jeanne Timoshin.
From the same year, Perov began to frequently travel to the North Caucasus, where he participated in complex operational-combat actions, mastered a mine-blasting business. Co-workers gave him the nickname "Pooh". Funny of course! With almost two-meter Alexander this nickname was not associated at all.
During one of the business trips, the Special Forces troops went to a land mine for setting off the assignment on the armor. Perov was very contused then, he began to hear poorly in one ear, although his parents, in order not to upset them, said that their ears hurt from the practice of shooting.
Co-workers gave him the nickname "Pooh"
After recovery, business trips to the North Caucasus resumed. One of the operations in which Alexander took part was a fierce battle for the village of Komsomolskoye. Perov had to cover his comrades. As a result, a gang of field commander Ruslan Gelayev, numbering several hundred well-trained militants, was almost completely destroyed by the forces of the military in the village of Komsomolsky.
... In the midst of the golden autumn of 2002, terrorists seized the Theater Center on Dubrovka. Major Perov was not at home for three days. Early in the morning of October 26 a combined building assault was conducted. Perov and five other employees acted on the most difficult and dangerous section - in the auditorium, where there were about seven hundred people, under the threat of an 50-kilogram bomb exploded in the center of the room.
The group broke into the hall from the basement, having made an explosion, which Alexander Perov made, the necessary passage. After destroying the terrorists and the "shahid", the special forces began to evacuate the hostages, as assistance came much later. For forty minutes they carried the women, men, children ...
When the threat of an explosion and collapse of the building was over, Emergencies Ministry officers and police appeared, and the evacuation continued.
For "Nord-Ost" Major Perov was awarded the Order of Courage.
BEAM OF HOPE
July and half of August for Alexander 2004 passed in intense study, duty, and, of course, competitions. He was promoted, appointed commander of the task force.
Approaching the term of assigning the next military rank of lieutenant colonel. Alexander would have received it in September at the age of twenty-nine. At thirty-three years could become a colonel, like a father and brother. But ... 16 August Department went to the North Caucasus.
Alexander was not supposed to fly that time, with 1 September, studies began at the Academy of the FSB. However, he was offered to fly along with everyone, as the commander of the task force. Employees were mostly young, insufficiently experienced. Perov, without hesitation, agreed and went to the tenth for his eight-year service in the "Alpha" business trip.
Three generations of feathers
For ten days, the Perov Task Force operated in Ingushetia, working on militants who attacked the city of Nazran.
And soon an event occurred that, by its tragedy, had no analogues in stories our time. 1 September 2004, a group of thugs "Colonel Ortskhoeva" seized school number 1. For three days, the terrorists held hostages in the 1.128 building - children, parents and teachers.
The result of the drama in Beslan: 186 of children's and 148 adult deaths, injured were 728 of Beslan and 55 security forces. The losses of the special forces of the FSB were ten people - seven from Vympel and three from Alpha. Also killed were two employees of the Emergencies Ministry and one local resident who helped free the hostages.
All terrorists were eliminated, one taken alive, arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment.
17 September 2004, Shamil Basayev publicly claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Beslan by publishing a statement on the Kavkaz Center website.
HOW WAS IT ALL? ..
The group of Alexander Perov with the whole department arrived from Beslan in Khankala by mid-day. And immediately Perov, as one of the commanders, was assigned the task of identifying places around the school for machine-gunners, snipers, and equipping for them firing points. He saw how the terrorists moved freely within the school, mined the approaches to it. It was impossible to fire, because the terrorists threatened to kill fifty hostages for each of their dead.
The hostage rescue operation was scheduled for four in the morning on September 3. Some employees of Alpha and Vympel carefully rehearsed the seizure of the school in a similar building in a neighboring village.
On the evening of September 2, the militants, after visiting them by the former President of Ingushetia, Ruslan Aushev, sent home twenty-six mothers with babies. The force part of the operation was set aside. The headquarters decided that the process of saving people went peacefully. However, in the early morning, Perov was behind a concrete fence that stretched along the right wing of the school: he was preparing charges for clearing approaches to the wall of the building. As commander and demolition man, he took on this dangerous job in order not to put others at risk.
“DON'T SHOOT THERE A LOT OF HERE!”
When the 3 of September at 15 hours, emergency workers arrived at the school to pick up the bodies of the hostages men (executed in the Russian office) according to the agreement reached with the terrorists (the execution was carried out in the Russian office). From the intense heat could not resist the tape, which was attached to the basketball basket explosives. He pulled away, after which an explosion occurred from the strike. Having decided that the building’s storming began, the terrorists launched another powerful charge.
About a minute before the school, bloodied children and women began to appear. The gangsters tried to “get hold of” fleeing hostages, shot them in the backs. Alexander Perov, being behind a concrete fence, did not see all this. I just realized that it was time to storm and conduct a fierce battle with terrorists inside the building. His group had to clear the corner room on the first floor.

The tension was increasing. To penetrate into the school and destroy the enemy has not yet succeeded. Militants in this wing put up fierce resistance. Having slipped to the other side where the windows were, the special forces saw the schoolchildren - leaning out of the open windows, they waved white rags and shouted: “Do not shoot, there are many of them here!” Then Alexander Perov, together with his comrades, stood under the windows and began pulling the children out of the window sills to the land, simultaneously firing back fire at the militants who opened fire from inside the premises.
We had to break into the dining room. Without hesitation, Perov flew through the window, managed to kill the action movie in the back room. Hiding behind its wall, did not allow the bandits to conduct aimed fire, ensuring the penetration of the rest of the group’s fighters into the dining room.
Began a fierce battle in the room. In the dining room there were at least seventy exhausted children lying on the floor. In such a difficult situation, the special forces cleared all the space. Perov with two officers continued to be ahead, cutting off the terrorists. Other "alfovtsy" passed into the windows of children Emergencies Ministry employees.
It seemed that the task assigned to the group was completed, and without loss. And here is the new introduction - to continue the sweep of the entire right wing of the building. From the opposite end one group failed to break through.
In a short time, we managed to free four classes from the bandits on the right side of the corridor. Started cleaning the cinema. Ensign Oleg Loskov threw two grenades into the room. Following the explosions, firing from a machine gun, he rushed into the doorway and was struck by an automatic burst.
Perov, limping because of a shattered leg, ran up to Oleg and dragged him to the top of the corridor to the stairs. Two Vympel employees ran up to help. While they were trying to determine if a comrade was alive, they did not notice how a terrorist came out of a dusty corridor with a cry: “Allah Akbar!” And discharged the entire automatic rifle into special forces.
Being seriously injured, Alexander pulled the trigger, but no shots followed - ran out of ammo. He received two bullets in the groin, which fell below the body armor. Another commando man, dodging a roll of bullets, wounded the gunman in a line. He threw a grenade into the dining room and hid in the corridor.
Despite the terrible pain, Perov managed to bounce into the dining room and covered his body from the fragments of a group of children who were not yet evacuated by the Emergencies Ministry personnel.
So one of the Sagittarius was killed ...
Alexander Perov was awarded the title Hero of Russia. It remains to add that he was awarded the medals "For Courage", Suvorov, "For distinction in special operations", "For distinction in military service" III degree, honorary badge "For service in the Caucasus".
... Every year, Valentin Antonovich flies to Beslan to honor the memory of his son and his colleagues, the dead hostages. Soon a memorial complex will appear around the destroyed school building, - since last year, construction is underway there. Nearby began the construction of the temple by the project of a young Ossetian architect. Archbishop Zosima completed the rite of consecration of the church under construction in memory of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.
