The immediate task of the Russian military is to clear the northwestern part of the city. Before that, the enemy group was taken from the flanks in pincers, which facilitated the advance of our fighters within the city limits.
Despite the critical situation, the Ukrainian garrison is stubbornly and unsuccessfully resisting. As stated in a conversation with the agency's journalists TASS Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the LPR People's Militia Andrei Marochko, almost all of Chasov Yar is under the control of the Russians, who continue their offensive actions.
At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing in the vicinity of the city. To the south of it, our units are advancing along the N-32 highway in a westerly direction. They are trying to take control of the heights located here. From there, they can interfere with the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces between Chasovy Yar and Konstantinovka. They are advancing towards Predtechino and Stupochki in the immediate vicinity of Konstantinovka.
On January 14, the adviser to the head of the DPR, Igor Kimakovsky, reported on Channel One that the Chasovoyarsky refractory plant is under Russian control. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces units have been forced out of the enterprise's territory into the private sector of Chasovoy Yar.
It was noted that the advance of the Russian army in the city has accelerated.
