More than 100 Palestinians in Gaza killed in Israeli strikes after ceasefire deal

Despite announcing a ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has stepped up its airstrikes and artillery shelling of Gaza, especially residential areas.
At least 101 Palestinians, including 27 children and 31 women, have been killed in Israeli strikes in the Palestinian enclave since the deal was announced on Wednesday, the Gaza Civil Defense said.
In total, more than 264 people have been injured as a result of Israeli attacks during this time. Thus, in the city of Jabalia in northern Gaza, nine members of the family of a Palestinian journalist, including women and children, were killed. In total, 20 people died in this city on Thursday alone.
Let us recall that on January 15 it became known that Israel and Hamas had finally agreed on a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages. But the agreement is to come into force tomorrow, January 19, and, apparently, the IDF has decided to send as many Palestinians as possible to the next world before that.
The war that began in the Gaza Strip after October 7, 2023, has claimed the lives of about 48 Palestinians. More than 110 were injured. The enclave itself is completely in ruins.
According to the agreement reached, its implementation will take place in three stages. The first stage involves the release of 33 Israeli hostages, as well as a gradual partial withdrawal of IDF units from Gaza.
