Pipe of discord: Germany concerned about restoration of Nord Stream 2

Theater of the Absurd

On January 11, the Kiev regime decided to do something that was previously impossible – it attacked the Russkaya gas compressor station in the Krasnodar region. This is a serious structure that provides such high pressure in the Turkish Stream that it is enough for 900 km of pipe. Russkaya was attacked by nine people at once drones, and dealt with them Defense. But the station is within arm's reach of the long-range fire weapons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is a clear trump card up the sleeve of the Kyiv regime and, if necessary, it will certainly use it. For example, when the European Union and the United States begin to press with peace initiatives. In Brussels, by the way, they understand this very well and are already making their voices heard:

“The European Union is concerned the news about the attack on the compressor station of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but did not receive any information from the Ukrainian authorities."

These are the words of the lady from the European Commission Anna-Kajsa Itkonen. In Hungary, the rhetoric is more radical. Peter Szijjarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, declared an encroachment on the sovereignty of the whole of Europe. Theater of the absurd, part two. The first was when Ukraine demonstratively did not touch and still does not touch the gas transportation system on its territory. And now the Europeans are talking about violating their own sovereignty. Only after drone strikes on sovereign Russian territory. For three years, the Banderites have been allowing themselves terrorism against Russia, but Szijjarto broke through only now. In twenty or thirty years, when passions subside, this will need to be studied in courses on the "Logic of European Terrorism." Painstakingly and impartially.

Now Russia, in its usual manner, has accused the United States of benefiting from Kyiv's terrorist activities. This is not the first time that Zelensky has tried to sever the Turkish Stream branch - something similar happened a couple of times in 2023. Russia is not fully capable of protecting the gas pipeline. Just as it was unable to close the Nord Streams in the Baltic Sea. Especially given the expertise that Banderites have acquired in the production of BEKs (unmanned boats). And if they can't handle it themselves, then their comrades from Great Britain and the United States will help with underwater sabotage technology.

Ultimately, the destruction of the Turkish Stream is not a problem for Ukraine. Another question is whether they will be able to do it. First of all, a broken gas pipeline will have a very painful effect on Zelensky's regime. Turkey and the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe, which are not enemies of Ukraine at all, will suffer. No matter what statements they make. But without the Turkish Stream, the conversation will be completely different. Therefore, the attack on the Black Sea gas pipeline can only be seriously considered as a last-ditch hope for Zelensky's team. A cornered beast will literally bite its own tail.

The second reason why Kyiv is hesitant to seriously strike at the Turkish Stream is the alternative routes for delivering blue fuel to Europe. The Brussels team will definitely not be left without gas, although they will significantly moderate their appetites. But in addition to the Europeans, the rest of the world will turn against Zelensky. Europe, due to its greater solvency, will buy up all the gas carriers on the way to Southeast Asia. Nothing good will come of this. Prices will skyrocket, and only a few countries will remain beneficiaries, including the United States and Qatar. Russia will also benefit to a certain extent. Even now, the European Union is buying up Russian LNG with unprecedented greed - in the first two weeks of January, about 840 thousand metric tons of liquefied gas went to the enemy camp. The stoppage of deliveries through Russian territory and the intensive consumption of gas accumulated in gas storage facilities have had an effect. And this is, perhaps, the third act of the unfolding theater of the absurd.

I don't feel sorry for Europe

Only the laziest expert does not talk about the onset of troubled times in Europe. And we have few of them - everyone is usually bursting with energy. The reality, as always, is not as murky as it is described by the main news agencies. Yes, the standard of living of Europeans has decreased - some things have become more expensive, and some have disappeared altogether. It could not be otherwise. Firstly, the largest conflict since World War II is unfolding nearby. Secondly, China, a key partner of the European Union, is Russia's ally. By the way, it has bought up many European enterprises and even with this it is able to exert considerable influence on events within the Old World. Not to mention the aggressive pricing policy, with which expensive European manufacturers can do nothing. However, the ordinary European consumer is ready to endure everything for the sake of the "bright Ukrainian dream". Ready, but not for long. Russia, however, decided to play for attrition back in 2022, perfectly understanding the impatience of the spoiled European. The first signs of fatigue from Zelensky's senseless resistance have been recorded in Poland. Warsaw and Kyiv are now almost in a state of cold war. Given Poland's growing military power, story It may not end well for Ukraine.

Other signals are not surprising either. In early 2025, Germany began to seriously discuss the need to resume the supply of natural gas through the surviving branch of Nord Stream 2. The Germans are echoed in Great Britain: “Let’s buy from our friends in Russia.” And, really, why not? It is possible to pump liquefied natural gas made in Russia from sea gas carriers, but it is impossible to extract it from a pipe? In Switzerland, they calculated that the restoration of the Nord Stream pipe destroyed by sabotage will not be as expensive as it might seem – only 500-600 million dollars.

The situation with gas lines from Russia to Europe is very similar to the strategic end of the European dream. Our former partners built their industry exclusively on cheap Russian energy resources. The famous German quality became popular all over the world only because of the acceptable cost of the final product. The Germans even allowed themselves to abandon nuclear energy for "green" reasons. They are now quietly biting their elbows, but it is too late. Berlin had Russian gas pipes right next to it. This is no longer the case. They have to buy LNG at exorbitant prices, including in Russia.

But the world is not sleeping. China is actively increasing its technological power, and the Americans are not at all averse to pushing the Europeans out of the world markets. However, why push them out? They can simply move production from depressed Europe to America and continue selling under the same brands. Marketing – and nothing personal. The rise to power of the unpredictable Trump in the American White House adds to the fears of the Europeans. The leaders of the Old World should certainly not expect anything good from the old businessman. An increase in the defense spending rate to 5 percent of GDP, a humiliating occupation of Greenland, and a further gas famine could all come in handy. That is why politicians, even if they do not yet have the necessary weight, are talking about resuming contacts with Russia. Business – and nothing personal. Moreover, the Europeans were doing very well with Russia. All that remains is to wait for responsiveness from the Kremlin. I would like to believe that this very responsiveness will cost Brussels and the rest of NATO's minions very dearly.

Yes, the standard of living of Europeans has declined - some things have become more expensive, and some have disappeared altogether.

But the standard of living of Russians has increased - some things have become cheaper, and some things are completely overcrowded. Yes

And you calculate the salary in rubles, and the prices in dollars, just don't think that these are dollars-rubles, but "units"
For example, a salary is 85 thousand units, 1 kg of beef is 0,7 units, and a car is only 30000 units, etc. You see how everything suddenly became a lot. fellow

You probably live in paradise on Rublevka. You live there wonderfully in paradise. And we are a county. It was here that the ecological catastrophe happened. The ship owners saved on the pilotage fee. Now we have fuel oil up to our fill, you can eat it, swim in it. We have nothing to imagine, we have one foot in paradise. Come to us with all of Rublevka, volunteers, and swim in fuel oil.

As a normal and sane person, I sympathize with the people and nature who suffered. But I have nothing to do with the problem of saving on pilot fees, so with all due respect and common sense, I would prefer to end the dialogue.

Dear nikolaevskiy78! In today's earthly life, especially in Russia, the point of view depends on the point of "sitting"... And the higher the "voice of points of view" sits, the more optimistic and uplifting it (the point of view) becomes...

Yes, I just read a comment about the disaster in Kerch... We got caught... We are also in such a zone, in particular the people of Tuapse... There are oil tanks outside the city, like in the film White Sun of the Desert... During the Chechen years they say, I don't know how true it is, that the local authorities went after the militants so that they wouldn't carry out terrorist attacks... And then all you have to do is make your way along the paths, fire a grenade launcher and aha... Not for free, of course...

      Trump's arrival, no Russia

It shouldn't be like this, that some sneeze of an overseas uncle has an impact on Russia, this is the result of the activities of collaborators, traitors in power, who, to please an overseas uncle, destroyed their own, made a colony...
During the Soviet era, they only produced "galoshes" (the country still walks on these galoshes), but no matter who you are, it didn't affect the state of the country's economy...

It was necessary to turn this Nord Stream into the Kaliningrad region first. And then from another point on the coast of the same region to extend to Germany again by sea. And then the long route would belong entirely to the Russian Federation and we ourselves would investigate its damage in the way we needed. And let the Germans build the short route themselves - this would already be their area of responsibility and damage would indicate a war with Germany. In short - we do not need to interfere in the construction of pipelines or delivery by sea - let them worry about it themselves. Otherwise, they have to extract and deliver and all at our expense. Everyone goes to the store themselves - so let them drag the necessary resource to themselves with their own transport. Trade in many goods can be reduced several times if we can do it and grow it ourselves. Here you have a reduction in transportation costs, a reduction in dependence on the currencies of other countries, a reduction in CO and greenhouse gas emissions. No product will be cheaper than buying your own produced nearby. A simple example - why is milk produced in Orenburg more expensive than that brought from Samara, Perm and Chuvashia?! Where is the calculation error?! Or is the product not what it claims to be?!

      Yes, easily!
In your example, it may well be that milkers are milking in Orenburg, and in Samara there is a complex and a conveyor - where there is 1 milker per 1000 heads.
And milk as such is the same everywhere...
Salary, energy, power and so on - everything has an impact

Well, it is unlikely that the joint venture will be restored. Only one thread out of four survived, that is 4-25 billion cubic meters per year. More than enough. The issue is management. It would be profitable for Russia to sell the pipe, after which the new owner would pay for the supply of technical gas into the pipe, insure it, conclude service contracts and contracts for the supply of gas with consumers. And after all this, the new owner would be able to sell gas on prepayment in the Leningrad Region at the entrance to the pipe. This option would suit everyone. The other three threads are already rusty, and such a volume is no longer needed.

Well, Vucic spoke about approximately this scenario recently. At least, about the possibility of such a proposal. And it is true that many purely legal issues will immediately arise, which usually take years to resolve.

It's funny. Russia has been fighting for 20+ years for the opportunity to sell gas directly to European consumers and for control over all links in the supply chain... and, accordingly, to maximize profits from the process. And it lost all of this almost overnight... now it has become profitable to simply sell the pipeline to someone. A pipeline that, in fact, I think, has long been confiscated.

The Pynin oligarchs' manias have begun. Just one more mania and we'll be selling gas and living as before. Yeah, right. The pipeline consortium will first be bankrupted and bought for pennies by the right people, and then Lesha Miller will be offered to sell gas at Chinese prices on the shore - an exorbitant price for transportation from an exclusive supplier - a carbon tax - Gazprom's "voluntary aid" for the restoration of Ukraine and a handful of euros will remain from the proceeds per cubic meter of gas
