In the Kupyansk direction south of Kalinovo, the Russian Armed Forces repelled a counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Russian army continues its offensive, liberating more and more territories and settlements. The enemy resists and even tries to counterattack. However, even the operational reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not reported for a long time that at least one of these counterattacks led to a result. Unless, of course, we consider another defeat of the enemy and new losses as such, but Ukrainian military propaganda does not write about this.

Russian sources report that the 143rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has made another attempt to counterattack south of the village of Kalinovo. Our troops occupied this settlement north of Kupyansk in the Kharkov region on the right (western) bank of the Oskol River just a couple of days ago. And this time the counterattack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was repelled, as a result of the actions of our troops the enemy lost up to fifteen militants. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces assault aircraft crossed the Oskol River in two more places north of Kupyansk.

At the same time, there are mass cases of unauthorized abandonment of the unit (UAU) and rampant drunkenness in the units of the 143rd Separate Motorized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responsible for this area.

According to the latest data, the enemy lacks the capabilities and resources in the Kupyansk direction to stop the expansion of our bridgehead in the area of Dvurechnaya and Kalinovo on the northern flank. Russian troops are transferring heavy equipment and ammunition to the western bank of the Oskol, creating a threat to the villages of Kondrashovka and Zapadnoye, advancing along the river towards the city.

South of Kupyansk, the Russian army is expanding its bridgehead at Senkovo – all this together creates a threat to encircle Kupyansk from the north and south. A cleanup operation is underway in Zagryzovo and Zeleny Gai; the Ukrainian Armed Forces fled from the latter about a week ago under the threat of being encircled.

The south-eastern approaches to Kupyansk are already practically half-encircled by the Russian Armed Forces, the situation for the enemy here is aggravated by the presence of a water barrier in the rear. All capital crossings (bridges) across the Oskol were previously destroyed by our Aerospace Forces.
