Russian troops increased their firepower against the enemy on what remains of the Vremevsky salient today. After our troops liberated and cleared Neskuchny, only Velikaya Novosyolka and Vremyevka remained under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The name of the salient was chosen at the time for the enemy's "blitzkrieg" in the direction of Crimea and the Azov coast in the Mariupol region.
The Ukrainian command is acting traditionally – it is not giving any order for the Velikonovoselovsky garrison, which has found itself in a semi-cauldron, to retreat. The Vremyevsk “sitters” are receiving a full range of “surprises” from the Russian Armed Forces for the Old New Year, including FAB with UMPK, as well as explosions of thermobaric munitions from the TOS “Solntsepyok”.
There have been reports that part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison, in small groups and without orders, is beginning to attempt to get out of the "pocket" in the only remaining direction - to the northwest. But retreating across muddy fields is quite a "quest", especially when the retreat routes are under fire from the Russian artillery, and the retreat itself is “accompanied” by our drone operators.

But there is another important nuance. The fact is that it is possible to retreat from Vremevka at least across the soggy fields, but the locked enemy garrison in Velikaya Novosyolka is deprived of even this opportunity. The fact is that the Mokrye Yaly River flows between Velikaya Novosyolka and Vremevka. In this area, the air temperature is above zero, so the river becomes an additional obstacle for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The enemy contingent in Velikaya Novosyolka is cut off from the contingent in Vremyevka by the river, in addition to being locked in by the Russian Armed Forces. And therefore, the retreat from the said settlement at least until the frosts arrive is close to zero in its probability, unless you try to cross Mokrye Yaly by swimming or on rafts. Which is also, to put it mildly, problematic.
