A group of currently unidentified individuals managed to break into a U.S. Army warehouse in California and steal three Humvee military vehicles, machine gun components, medical equipment, 40 binoculars, and 18 bayonets. At least one of the stolen vehicles was armored.
According to state police, the break-in at the military base occurred on Wednesday evening, January 8, and the thieves also attempted to break the lock on the door of a warehouse containing U.S. Army uniforms, but were unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, the situation with wildfires engulfing the state in California continues to spiral out of control. Entire areas of Los Angeles are burning to the ground. More than ten thousand buildings have already been destroyed, and the amount of damage has exceeded $150 billion. According to experts, restoration will take at least several years.
It is also reported that in several areas of Los Angeles, police have begun to detain homeless people who are pouring fuel on the fires and contributing to the spread of fires. In this way, American marginalized people hope to provoke an expansion of areas subject to evacuation in order to then rob the empty homes of wealthy citizens. In addition, according to some information, some fire hydrants were previously stolen and handed over for scrap metal.
