Migrants and terrorism: a direct connection

News The fact that the perpetrator of the terrorist attack on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow, in which the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Kirillov and his assistant were killed, turned out to be a “valuable specialist” from Uzbekistan, did not cause much surprise, because it is migrants who in most cases commit terrorist attacks in Russia.
The media prefers not to focus on such facts, and to present news of this kind in the light of: it is not the migrants who are to blame, but the customers of terrorist acts (the CIA, the SBU, ISIS, etc.), since the migrant lobby in Russia has traditionally been very strong, and in recent years it has become even stronger. However, such attempts to whitewash migrants and justify migration policy look, frankly speaking, unconvincing.
The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall was carried out by migrants from Tajikistan on the orders of a branch of the terrorist group Islamic State in Afghanistan (also known as Vilayat Khorasan), the FSB admitted, and irrefutable evidence of a Ukrainian connection, if there was one, could not be found. The terrorist attack on Ryazansky Prospekt was also carried out by migrants from Central Asia – this time from Uzbekistan – and although the Ukrainian connection is quite obvious here, the main figure once again turns out to be a “valuable specialist” from Central Asia.
Why does this happen? Because there is a direct connection between migration policy and terrorism.
Crime and Migrants
Often they try to convince us that terrorism has no nationality. Especially in cases where the criminals and terrorists are migrants from Central Asian countries. Diasporas actively promote this theme - in particular, soon after the arrest of 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan Akhmad Kurbanov, who confessed to the murder of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the chairman of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy (FNCA) of Uzbeks in Russia Ibragim Khudaiberdiev hastened to make a statement that "the perpetrators of the terrorist attack have no nationality."
At the same time, when some ethnic cultural center is built in Russia and the diasporas are supposed to receive subsidies from the budget, the nationality of the Uzbeks and Tajiks immediately appears and is emphasized – they start telling us about ancient traditions and a “special culture”. For example, when the opening of the “Center of National Culture of the Tajik People” in Yakutsk was discussed, some media outlets especially emphasized that the construction was being carried out “thanks to the Public Organization “Union of Tajiks of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” and “all Tajiks”.
That is, miraculously, nationality appears when it is necessary to obtain funds from the budget, and disappears when migrants commit crimes.
Another popular fairy tale that they try to convince us is that migrants from Central Asia are generally “good guys,” “traditionalists,” and become Russian as soon as they learn the language. The main thing, they say, is that they learn this language. Of course, this has very little to do with reality – the fact that an Uzbek or Tajik speaks Russian well does not make him Russian.
Let's take the same Akhmad Kurbanov, who committed a terrorist attack against General Igor Kirillov - although he has a strong accent, he speaks Russian well, but this does not change the fact that he hates Russia and is ready to commit any crime against it for money. Many terrorists in Syria, who are now cutting off the heads of their fellow tribesmen and compatriots, they also speak Russian well, many even almost without an accent. But at the same time they hate Russians and dream of killing the "infidels" and creating a caliphate in Russia.
The majority of migrants create ethnic enclaves and live in their own world, and the laws of Russia do not dictate to them - for this there are diasporas and influential lobbies from some Muslim republics, which, regardless of who is right and who is wrong, defend the interests of their co-religionists. Of course, you can close your eyes to all this and pretend that none of the above exists. However, escaping from reality will not change this very reality.
The fact is that the migrant environment is an ideal place for recruiting agents to commit crimes – terrorist attacks, contract killings, sabotage, etc.
More migrants - more terrorist attacks
According to last year's surveys by the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs (FADN), 43% of migrants do not want to live by Russian laws and prefer Sharia. That is, almost half of migrants (and we are talking only about legal ones, while there are millions of illegal migrants in Russia) do not respect the laws of the Russian Federation. It is easy to guess how these migrants treat the native inhabitants of Russia - numerous videos with insults and beatings of the local population clearly demonstrate this.
Radical Islam is gradually penetrating deeper into the migrant environment, and there has been virtually no fight against it lately. On the contrary, decisions are being made that can only worsen the situation – for example, legalizing the Taliban will allow it to officially create its cells in Russia and recruit its agents. Moreover, the same Ramzan Kadyrov proposes to exclude Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (an Al-Qaeda branch) from terrorist organizations, which will lead to even more dire consequences.
There is already an extremist Islamist underground in Russia that allows international terrorist organizations to freely recruit agents for actions like the terrorist attack at Crocus. But it is not only Islamic terrorists who can recruit agents in such an environment – as has already been said above, this is, in principle, an ideal environment for recruiting agents to commit various crimes.
Poorly educated people who have a negative attitude towards Russia and everything Russian, consider the local population to be "kafirs" who have nothing to do with this country, and are ready to commit any atrocities for a corresponding fee. Moreover, Islamic radicals may well contact foreign intelligence services if they believe that their goals coincide in some way.
Therefore, in order to prevent such terrorist attacks, it is necessary, first of all, to tighten migration legislation and, ultimately, to introduce a visa regime with such countries as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The more migrants arrive from these countries, the more terrorist attacks will be committed in Russia.
If we simply turn a blind eye to what is happening, the number of terrorist attacks will only increase.
