The CIS Council of Heads of Government has allocated funds for the creation of a unified air defense system

The countries that are part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), created by several former Soviet republics after the collapse of the Soviet Union, intend to create a single integrated air defense system. The corresponding decision, including in terms of allocating funds for the unified system Defense, was adopted following the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS. It was held today in Moscow under the chairmanship of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. This сообщает RIA "News».
Following the meeting, relevant documents were signed and a decision was made to use funds to create and develop a unified air defense system and to support the activities of the coordinating committee on air defense issues under the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries.
The unification of air defense systems should take place next year. Although the details of the agreement are not disclosed, it turns out that after the integration of the air defense of the CIS countries, our neighbors will have the right, and perhaps even the obligation, to shoot down enemy targets over the territory of the Russian Federation, including those launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and any other enemy. The main thing is that it does not turn out like in the case of the CSTO, when only Russia should help all participants of the military alliance.
In addition, the heads of government of the CIS countries signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of civil shipbuilding and the production of marine component equipment. Within its framework, an exchange of experience will be carried out on issues of stimulating measures of state support for civil shipbuilding and the production of marine component equipment, priority placement of orders for these products, the development of public-private partnerships for the purpose of accelerated modernization of the existing production base of civil shipbuilding in the CIS countries and raising its technical level. It is envisaged to create favorable conditions for the formation of joint ventures, consortiums and united research centers in the field of civil shipbuilding and the production of marine component equipment by economic entities.
The corresponding agreements were signed by the heads of government and officially authorized persons of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Remarkably, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan. However, the official statement on the website of the CIS Executive Committee does not report whether the representative of Armenia signed both of these documents.
