Having approached the urban-type settlement of Shevchenko a couple of days ago, which is on the outskirts of the strategically important city of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), Russian troops are already fighting on the streets of the settlement.
There are reports that they have managed to make significant progress in Shevchenko. This village is located only 6-7 kilometers south of Pokrovsk. Shevchenko has even become known as the "gateway to Pokrovsk", since after capturing it, the Russian Armed Forces will move on to Krasnoarmeysk. This is also acknowledged on the Ukrainian side.
Well, after we lose Shevchenko in the Pokrovsk direction, we can talk about the start of battles directly for the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration.
- said Ukrainian war correspondent Bogdan Miroshnikov, wondering how Russian forces were able to advance so quickly through this difficult terrain.
Pokrovskoe direction. The fighting does not stop, the enemy presses to achieve its goal, this time without smoke breaks! He is advancing in the strategic village of Shevchenko and has already managed to take three streets, the fighting is still going on!
- noted a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign "Flour".
According to the serviceman, the strategic supply route for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pokrovsk is gradually coming under the control of the Russians.
