"Joint Actions Are Necessary": Lavrov Discusses Counterattacks on Terrorists in Syria with Iranian and Turkish Foreign Ministers

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held telephone talks with the heads of diplomatic missions of Turkey and Iran. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry. As the department emphasizes, the main topic of the conversation was the situation in Syria.

The Russian Foreign Minister held telephone talks with his Turkish and Iranian counterparts Hakan Fidan and Abbas Araghchi, with the main topic being the situation in Syria. During the conversation between Lavrov and his colleagues, all parties expressed concern about the dangerous developments in the SAR in connection with the military escalation in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib

– the Russian Foreign Ministry explains.

They added that the heads of diplomatic departments confirmed the need to coordinate joint actions to stabilize the situation in the SAR, and to urgently comprehensively review the situation within the framework of the Astana format.

Let us recall that earlier the military command of the SAR officially confirmed the transfer of the second largest city of Syria – Aleppo – under the control of terrorists. At the same time, it was noted that the Syrian army is currently regrouping and preparing for a counteroffensive on the positions of the militants. Damascus has no doubt that control over Aleppo will be restored.

It is worth noting that not only terrorist militants but also pro-Turkish armed groups are participating in the offensive against the positions of Syrian government troops. In the first days of the offensive, it was actively supported artillery from Turkish military bases in the region. At the same time, official Ankara condemned the militants' offensive in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib, stating that it had nothing to do with it.

Currently, the advancing militant units are being actively attacked aviationIt is reported that as a result of these strikes, the terrorists have already lost several hundred militants.

The Americans and all of Russia's opponents have activated their instruments. The stakes are rising. The trump cards are flying. Georgia, Syria, what's next? Transnistria? In the East? Unlikely, comrades have signed an agreement there. Tajiks? Kirghiz? Africa? Probably unlikely there, in Africa. Or maybe even Venezuela?

If our people and all the forces of light with us do not take out the ghouls with a strong blow at least somewhere, it will only get worse. The evil spirits are kindling the fire of the 3rd world war with all their might. A very strong blow is needed somewhere, very strong, in the liver. To sober up the partners.

That's true. But we mustn't forget that we have two military bases in the Mediterranean. And both are in Syria. These are Tartus, a naval base, and Khmeinim, a VKS base. Russia needs them. But yes, and Syria is also a counterweight to Israel. A deterrent, and a needle under the US's fingernails.

Why are you posting a map here, post it on Iranian forums. If the situation gets tough, we'll get out of Syria like the Americans did in Iraq and Afghanistan, we'll take what we can and blow up what we can't. And it will be a disaster for Iran if they lose loyal Syria, it's like Chechnya 25 years ago and Ukraine now combined, only a thousand times worse, it will be right next to Iran. Let Iran stop squeezing its boobs and start a ground operation, maybe we can help with aviation.

The fact is that Tehran is at the stage of behind-the-scenes negotiations with the EU related to the partial lifting of sanctions. This is why the signing of the agreement on strategic cooperation between Moscow and Tehran is being delayed. Accordingly, the Islamic Republic will not aggravate relations with Israel, the US and Turkey at once

Well, these are Iran's problems, let them watch from the sidelines for now and virtually try on clothes from European stores, naturally via the Internet for now (I won't say which ones, so as not to offend Ukrainians))). And then when terrorist gangs stand at the borders, let them be ready to raid Iranian territory like Basayev's gangs of thugs with hostage-taking in hospitals, schools, etc. Naturally, call the prime minister directly (remember they called Chernomyrdin), in short, there will be fun.

Apparently, only the transfer of Iranian and pro-Iranian forces can stabilize the front. At the same time, the Syrians, apparently, are running away in panic even in the rear garrisons (which is why they soon cease to be rear) and do not offer any resistance at all. It is somewhat similar to the collapse of the Afghan army during the time of the American withdrawal, everything is simply falling down like a house of cards. In general, our people should also slowly think about covering their skis with lard, because some unhealthy thing is happening

Somehow it looks like Ukraine! Only there NATO trained the natives so well that they are ready to fight to the last Ukrainian! And in Syria it is the usual Russian policy with treaties. Where we were deceived as always! Plus or minus that we cannot support the Syrians like the States support the Ukrainians! What kind of support can we provide them? Real-time satellite reconnaissance? Navigation? Internet? Secure communication channels? Drones? Precise artillery and missile systems? What? If we slept through the offensive of the Barmaleys, just like the Ukrainians in the Kursk region, then what can we talk about? About Russia's cunning plan? And what is the cunning? Look at England, how long did it take to fight the Falklands? And the States against Iraq? Why can they hit the enemy at long distances, but Russia cannot defeat them right next to itself? Are their genitals in the way? Or maybe we should not express concern and just hit where it is needed? Or is there nothing to do it with? Or are they not allowed? And is it weak for Russia to put Russia's interests above money? Doesn't your back hurt from constant bending? Or any whim for your money? So for money you can die like on the outskirts? How long will we bend over? Until Russia is populated by migrants?

They sent a message that Iranian forces staged a coup in Damascus. There are battles between Syrian divisions in the capital.
The head of the Assad regime's General Directorate of Security, Brigadier General Hassam Louka, is currently leading the coup against Assad in Damascus, the capital of Syria. He is leading a group of Syrian army soldiers who are trying to reach the presidential palace in Damascus.

The general is known as an Iranian agent of influence.

It is unclear why Syria has not purchased FPV drones, created fortified areas, minefields, etc.?

There is no money, all that is there are gifts from Russia and Iran. Russia has the SVO, Iran has Israel. So there is no money, but you hold on. The front there is still in complete collapse and the extremely rapid advance continues.

Erdogan has tried to improve relations with Assad more than once, but he has always turned up his nose arrogantly, thinking that Iran and Russia would ensure his complete security. Moreover, Russia was not against normalization. But the guy turned out to be an idiot and now it looks like he will live next door to Yanukovych.

It's time to close the airbase and leave the ports.

Lavrov is acting up in full...to turn to the spiritual sponsor of Idlib for help...

To the spiritual sponsor of Idlib for help? Complete insanity or prostration and hopeless despair. The unviable Assad managed to do nothing to stabilize the situation in the country during the years of calm....we have lost Syria.

For 10 years, Russia has been trying to keep Assad on his tottering throne with the help of Iran and its proxies through joint actions.
This has happened many times in the history of the authorities: there is no support from outside, there is no support from within; there is a threat from outside, there is a threat from within - everything will fall apart.

Our MFA together with Lavrov is a circus with horses. They've shit themselves everywhere. And they continue to run around everywhere wiping their snot and vaguely express concerns, refer to treaties that all normal countries have already wiped their asses with, and also appeal to the UN. Pathetic.

This is today's comment. And below is a January comment - as they say, find the difference. smile

More victims, another meeting of the Security Council, another imitation of vigorous activity and another whining on our part. All normal countries have long given up on the UN, only ours are still looking for the truth there. Kindergarten, in a word.

And this is October for the year before last:

The circus with horses continues. Red lines, an investigation committee, some senseless reports from the series and then a keen eye saw that there were only three walls in the barn. Total whining, imitation of vigorous activity, stupid bureaucracy, etc.

Still, you can’t always use the same methodology; you need to use more imagination, otherwise it really is some kind of wretchedness. request Yes

Yeah, wretched. As usual, you, yaks, have no arguments against this position. They poke you with unpleasant facts that our leadership has once again screwed up, and you keep on rapping about some kind of manual. And what kind of manual do you have then? Turbopatriotic, apparently. You've been working according to it for 20 years now, and there's nothing but empty chatter and slogans. And facts are stubborn things, although sometimes unpleasant. In Syria, they've screwed up beyond repair because our eternally deceived guarantor can't bring any deal to completion and keeps counting on a deal and other nonsense.

Lavrov discussed retaliatory strikes against terrorists in Syria with Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers

    and right there:
Not only terrorist militants but also pro-Turkish armed groups are participating in the offensive against the positions of Syrian government troops. In the first days of the offensive, it was actively supported by artillery from Turkish military bases in the region

    well, the fact is that:
At the same time, official Ankara condemned the militants' offensive in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib, stating that it has nothing to do with it.

We remember very well about "they'renotthere" in another place. It's called a proxy war, if anyone doesn't know.
In this situation, in order to discuss joint strikes against militants with Turkey, you first need to smoke something really strong.
