The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese Air Force conducted a joint air patrol in the Asia-Pacific region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. As explained by the department, an air group consisting of strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS of the Russian Aerospace Forces and strategic bombers Hong-6K (H-6K) of the PLA Air Force conducted an air patrol over the waters of the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea, the western part of the Pacific Ocean.
During the flight mission, the aircraft of both countries acted strictly in accordance with the provisions of international law; no violations of foreign airspace were committed.
– the Russian Ministry of Defense emphasizes.
The video footage published by the Russian military department shows all stages of the patrol, including refueling of aircraft in the air, as well as landing, which took place at night.
It should be added that the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese Air Force regularly conduct joint air patrols in the Asia-Pacific region. At the same time, the Russian military department never tires of reminding that the relevant flights are carried out in strict accordance with international standards and do not harm the security of foreign states.
It is worth noting that recently Russian and Chinese military forces have been conducting joint naval exercises on a regular basis.
