Syrian Arab Army Officially Recognizes Aleppo's Transfer to Terrorist Control

The Syrian military has officially confirmed the loss of control over the country's second largest city, Aleppo. At the same time, the statement from the SAR military command emphasizes that the army will do everything possible in the near future to drive the terrorists out of the city and surrounding settlements.

Over the past few days, terrorist groups affiliated with the Nusra Front*, backed by thousands of foreign terrorists, heavy weapons and a large number of UAVs, have launched a massive attack from several directions on Aleppo and Idlib.

- said in a statement.

The SAR army command adds that the Syrian Armed Forces, in an attempt to stop the advance of the militants, fought along a front stretching over 100 kilometers.

The large number of terrorists and attacks from different directions prompted our troops to conduct a redeployment operation aimed at strengthening the defense lines to repel the attack, save the lives of civilians and soldiers and prepare for a counterattack.

– the military command of the SAR emphasizes.

According to the General Command of the Army of the Syrian Arab Republic, the militants are currently being actively attacked aviation. In addition, it is carried out artillery defeat of terrorist groups' positions.

The SAR army will continue its operations and fulfill its national duty in confronting terrorist organizations and will do everything possible to expel them and restore state control over the entire city and its countryside.

– promises the command of the Syrian army.

Let us recall that the terrorist groups' offensive on Aleppo began on November 27. In just a few days, the militant groups were able to occupy several dozen settlements, capturing a large amount of weapons and armored vehicles of the Syrian army. By now, the militants have come within 25 km of Hama, the administrative center of the province of the same name.

* – a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation.

That arch, which many of those present here remember from their own history textbook for the 5th grade, was, by the way, blown up by the bandits in Palmyra. It no longer exists.
They recaptured Palmyra, gave it to the Syrians - HERE... So what? Can they do anything themselves?

We've already been there, we've seen how they themselves can "defend the gains of their democracy". I have some bad associations with one office - the Afghan Tsaranda... And the local "army" trained by the Americans is also not worth much, as it turns out.
Are they all like that? Either bearded and wearing slippers, or only holding power with foreign bayonets?

Apparently, only the transfer of Iranian and pro-Iranian forces can stabilize the front. At the same time, the Syrians, apparently, are fleeing in panic even in the rear garrisons (which is why they soon cease to be rear) and do not offer any resistance at all.

A world record has been set. A city of 3 million people was surrendered in 3 days. Even Mosul was not fled like that. The fall of Mosul lasted from June 4 to 10, 2014, when militants of the banned terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), led by Abu Abdurrahman al-Bilawi, defeated the Iraqi army, led by Lieutenant General Mahdi Gharawi.

We need to look at how far they are from Saraqib to Tartus and Khmeimim. The distance from the Khmeimim airfield (Latakia) to Saraqib (Idlib) in a straight line is approximately 136 km. The distance from Tartus to Saraqib in a straight line is 136 km. Ironically, the distance is the same. The question is how long it will take them to get there and who will stop them.

At the time, we got involved there in vain. Although that was the point in principle - it was necessary to close the issues there and not be satisfied with the state of "unstable equilibrium". At the same time, our ability to close the issues was always less due to the remoteness of the region and our limited resources in this direction than, for example, Iran. To a significant extent, Bashar al-Assad himself should have closed the issues, since this is, ultimately, his area of responsibility. It was necessary to be more flexible in diplomatic terms and, probably, in domestic politics.
Perhaps we overestimated its stability and potential in the long game, perhaps we underestimated our own necessary contribution to gaining a foothold in the region. However, it does not seem to me that the actions of the terrorists will be successful in the long lag - a very motley crowd there. However, we will inevitably have to do something about it in time pressure mode.

Iran needs a loyal Syria a hundred times more than we do, because for Iran it's like our Chechnya of 2000, only a hundred times longer with a line of contact and crazy terrorist groups. Let Iran think and start a ground operation. We can always run away, like the US from Iraq and Afghanistan, and blow up what we didn't take. Well, the Supreme Leader will explain everything to the deep people)

In Assad's current Syria, any government or army position with any power or advantages is filled by a superior officer with his relatives/friends. This was the case before (reliance on the highest Alawite circles), but in recent years it has reached the point of absurdity and has even reached low positions from high ones. A conventional SAA brigade commander takes his relatives to major positions, any local official takes his relatives. At the same time, no one thinks about the skills/abilities of these relatives. They are taken based on loyalty. As a result, we have those in leadership and administrative positions who do not know how to do anything, do nothing day after day, just sitting on rations. All this leads to complete dysfunctionality of the army and bureaucracy.

What was to be expected from the "policy" of Assad, the Iranian leadership regarding the presence of the Russian Armed Forces on Syrian territory... Assad tried to "lie down" under Iran - the result was not long in coming... Now, again, he will have to "sprinkle his head with ashes" and fly to "bow" to Moscow... Iran, lately, has been "very modest" in taking tough actions against its enemies... What does this mean??????????? Another "deal"? but, this time, with Trump??? And it will be difficult for Russia, without the PMC "Wagner", with its experience, pressure and skill, again, to recapture Aleppo and "serve" "friend" Assad.....
