German Prosecutor General: Germany Investigates Possible Involvement of Ukrainian Government Agencies in Undermining Nord Streams
15
The German Prosecutor General's Office is investigating the possible involvement of Ukrainian government agencies in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
As reported by the German publication Spiegel, citing the country's Prosecutor General Jens Rommel, the department has made significant progress in investigating this act of international terrorism. The identities of two suspects have been established. One of the current issues in the investigation is to establish the possible involvement of Ukrainian government agencies in the gas pipeline explosion.
Previously, German investigators put forward a version according to which the gas pipeline was blown up by a group of Ukrainian citizens acting on the orders of the then commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny. At the same time, information about the possible involvement of the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the sabotage is extremely varied: some media write that he approved the operation, others that he did not even know about it, and still others that he knew but did not approve.
In particular, Spiegel previously claimed that three months before the terrorist attack on Nord Stream in September 2022, the American CIA, on a tip from Swedish intelligence services, knew about the alleged sabotage on the gas pipeline being prepared by former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny and warned Zelensky about it, who allegedly banned such operations. According to the German publication, the Americans also provided this information to Berlin. At the same time, based on this version, the US and German intelligence services did nothing to prevent the prepared act of international terrorism.
