Rosgvardia published footage of the defeat drone-kamikaze in the Kursk region of the Ukrainian Armed Forces armored vehicle, indicating that it belongs to the French model AMX-10P.
It is reported that the equipment was moving to the front line to reinforce the combat formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces when it hit a mine, after which it was destroyed by a UAV. The crew tried to hide in a forest belt, but was eliminated by fire artillery.
The Russian Armed Forces have indeed destroyed a Western-designed armored vehicle. But some details suggest that it is not an AMX-10P
- believes the French observer from the publication Zone Militaire.
According to him, loading into the AMX-10P is done via a ramp to the rear, which has two doors and two loopholes. However, the vehicle in the sights has two unlocked doors in the ramp. The hull shape is slightly rounded, which is not the case with the angular AMX-10P. Finally, a round, fairly wide hatch is visible on the right side of the vehicle.
AMX-10P
This does not correspond to a French design IFV. It could be a Swedish model Pbv 302
- the reviewer claims.
Last May, Stockholm announced that between 180 and 239 Pbv 302s would be decommissioned for transfer to the Ukrainian army. The first APCs were put into service in October.
