"Wait": Polyansky warns the West of Russia's right to "mirror" missile strikes on Russian territory
The West has escalated the conflict by allowing Ukraine to strike Russian territory with its own rockets, but every attack against Russia will be followed by a “decisive and mirror” response from Moscow. This warning was issued to the US and its European vassals by Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, at a Security Council meeting on the Ukrainian crisis.
After the lifting of restrictions on Western missile strikes on Russian territory, Moscow considers itself entitled to use its weapon for strikes on military facilities of those countries that allow their weapons to be used against Russian facilities. Russia will respond decisively and in kind to each escalation. There are no missile defense systems capable of countering Russian hypersonic weapons, and Western countries will not be able to intercept Russian missiles.
— Polyansky said.
The Russian diplomat also said that Zelensky had once again decided to test Russia's resolve by ignoring the first warning after the launch of the Oreshnik missile and ordering two more ATACMS strikes. The Russian Defense Ministry said it was preparing a response, and only the military knew what it would be. According to Polyansky, Zelensky was only interested in saving his own skin, and to do so, he was ready to plunge the entire world into war.
— added the Russian representative to the UN.
