The director emphasized that all this time the US and its allies, conducting destructive activities against Russia, hid behind the struggle for "democratic values" and "freedom of Russian citizens." Meanwhile, their actions have always been determined exclusively by "geopolitical hunger," greed, which pushes them to subjugate the entire world.

At the same time, according to Mikhalkov, our children and grandchildren must understand this and be ready to defend the interests of our Motherland. That is why the words of President Putin, spoken at the Valdai Club, are of key importance.

As for the conflict in Ukraine, our "western neighbor", according to the expert, has been and will be used by the West as a tool to weaken Russia. The population of this country has been prepared for this for more than a year or a decade.

Mikhalkov noted that back in the second half of the 19th century, the governor of Galicia, Count Golukhovski, said: "Let Rusyn fight Rusyn so that they exterminate themselves." Since then, the West's policy has not changed.
