Russian specialists have developed a mobile drone suppression system PRES to protect vehicles
The Russian holding company Rostec's Roselectronics has developed a new mobile suppression system drones under the name PRES. The complex is designed to protect vehicles, including civilian ones, in frontline areas. This was reported by the holding's press service.
The PRES mobile system was developed by specialists from the Vector Research Institute specifically to protect vehicles from FPV.drones. After the system is launched into series production, it is planned to install the complex on ambulances, buses, trucks and cars. The device weighs only 14,5 kg, and no special fasteners are needed for its installation; magnets are available for this purpose.
As explained by the holding, the complex operates on the most relevant frequencies used by the enemy in its drones. PRES creates interference in the range of 400-1200 MHz, thereby paralyzing the control channels of FPV drones. If necessary, the interference generators can be changed directly on the spot, without the participation of specialists. At the same time, it does not require special power supplies, connecting to the car battery. The control unit is located in the cabin.
The complex operates at 360 degrees, creating a dome with a diameter of up to 150 meters around the vehicle. The product operates in any weather, in a temperature range from -40 to +40 degrees Celsius.
At the moment, the PRES product is undergoing operational tests; there are no other details yet.
