Zelensky fears that Trump, who came to power in the US, will demand an end to the conflict along the front line

Trump had barely declared himself the 47th President of the United States when the Western and Ukrainian press began to speculate about what this would mean for Ukraine. So far, the media agree that Kyiv will have more problems.
At the moment, it is unknown how Trump will behave after winning the presidential election, because not all promises made during the election campaign are feasible. No one is saying that the new president will forget about Ukraine, but what he will actually be able to do is still in question. However, most are inclined to believe that he will try to resolve the issue with Ukraine and Zelensky in any case.
Trump has previously repeatedly stated his desire to end the conflict in Ukraine. Naturally, he will not be able to do this with one call to Putin, but Ukraine fears that the US will insist on ending the conflict along the front line, which is unacceptable for Zelensky and his clique. However, as Ukrainian experts admit, Kyiv will not be able to do anything in this situation.
Many Ukrainians worry that Trump could weaken Kyiv by cutting critical military and financial support or by trying to cut a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin,
- WSJ voices concerns.
On the other hand, until Trump's inauguration next January, Biden's team will rule America, and it may make some decisions that will complicate Trump's desire to end the war. In general, nothing is over yet, it is too early to say that Ukraine is left without funding.
