I'm just shocked. You have to fly more than 1,5 thousand km through Crimea, Stavropol, Chechnya. The question is where was the air defense in these regions.

And how did you come to the conclusion that there was such a route? Especially since the routes are not laid out for them in the Ukrainian headquarters. Taking into account all the capabilities of the Russian air defense system...

Well, hardly from Kazakhstan. But about from space, those who laid out the route, precisely from space and monitored how the air defense system works. From space and monitored the progress of the operation. It was not just "farm Mikolka" who launched an air snake...

Well, from space they can see our air defense, but from the ground ours apparently don’t see the holes in the air defense and haven’t plugged them for years.

Starlink satellites can be used for air defense reconnaissance.
As a passive receiver of radiation from the earth. At certain frequencies.
There you can identify the type of radar by the following parameters.
And if there are several satellites, then the location of the radar can be found using the triangulation method.
Then overlay it on a terrain map and understand where the radar shadows are.

Of course, the US and NATO have their own specialized radio intelligence satellites.
But it is also possible to use officially civilian devices.

Well, we don't know that there are shadows somewhere, they don't put any sound direction finders there to send a fighter. The enemies have Starlink and reconnaissance, we can't do anything request
In general, they write that the flotilla ships have some kind of air defense systems, but there was no one at the combat posts and the shooting was done, as usual, by men with Kalashnikovs.

It's bad when someone doesn't know the basic principles of air defense, "istcho" is worse when this someone additionally criticizes and points out the shortcomings in the operation of this system... hi

The principle of operation of air defense - the enemy has a starlink, his pepelats fly wherever he wants. Air defense works according to the principles approved at numerous meetings, and the enemy flies to targets and uses these principles for his own benefit

It's good that they didn't shoot from this. This rarity is located about 30 meters from those missiles.

But the range is impressive - it reaches from Moscow (CMVS) to Kaspiysk. smile

These flew into the Tver region on the night of September 1st.
    There were 5 pieces.
2 hit gas facilities and 3 hit a thermal power plant.
The consequences are still being dealt with.
The devices are large and loud.
They have flown to Olenegorsk and Bashkiria more than once.
    Range 2000 kilometers.
