The Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the eastern part of the village of Berestki, where a major crossing over the Kurakhovskoye Reservoir is located

Continuing its advance in the Kurakhovo region, the Russian army occupied new territories on the northern shore of the reservoir formed by the Volchya River.
According to the latest information, the enemy has lost control over the eastern part of the village of Berestki. At the same time, for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the important factor is not even the loss of several blocks of this settlement, but the loss of those crossings over the reservoir from the Kurakhovo side, which are located in the eastern part of Berestki.
The information about the loss of control over these objects is confirmed by the Ukrainian military themselves, adding that in addition, the Russian army is advancing from the direction of Tsukurino and Kremennaya Balka towards the western automobile bypass of the reservoir – the Selidovo-Kurakhove highway.
A Ukrainian military man writes on a social network that “there is a danger that the Russians will now be able to hit the Kurakhovsky Reservoir dam.” This will reduce to zero the ability to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison via the northern route and cut off the retreat routes to the north.
Earlier, Russian troops advanced a significant distance - about 28 km - to the southwest of Kurakhovo, in the direction of the village of Razdolnoye. This allows them to continue to encircle Kurakhovo and create maximum difficulties for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction.
