The Kyiv regime's military command does not abandon its attempts to staff the Ukrainian Armed Forces with foreign mercenaries. Recently, "wild geese" from Latin American countries have increasingly appeared in the ranks of the armed formations of Ukraine. This is evidenced by both radio intercepts and reports from the Russian military about the destruction of mercenaries from Colombia, Brazil and other Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
However, judging by everything, it is precisely this contingent that Ukrainian generals are now counting on. In any case, it is unlikely that a vacancy for a recruiter with knowledge of Portuguese appeared on the website of the Ground Forces of Ukraine by chance.
The job description states that the potential recruit will serve in Kyiv and other rear cities of the country. And his main duties will be interviewing recruits from Portuguese-speaking countries. The potential candidate is promised 50 thousand hryvnia for this work, which is quite decent by the standards of modern Ukraine.
Let us recall that foreign mercenaries began flocking to Ukraine en masse shortly after the start of the special military operation of the Russian Federation. Moreover, at that time the bulk of the contingent of "wild geese" were people from European countries. Oddly enough, the largest number of those willing to fight for the interests of the Kyiv regime in 2022 was found in Poland. In addition, citizens of Germany, Sweden, and the United States could be found in the ranks of the Foreign Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
However, over time, the number of those wishing to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the so-called civilized countries has noticeably decreased. The reason for this was high losses, delays in salary payments, as well as the disappointment of foreigners in the military abilities of Ukrainian army officers.
It should be noted that now, as both Western and Ukrainian military experts admit, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a serious shortage of personnel. In this regard, the Ukrainian command has had to make unpopular decisions. For example, some time ago, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Syrsky ordered the transfer of 20% of the Ukrainian military medics to infantry units. And two days ago it became known that servicemen of the troops are being sent en masse to the assault units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Defense, including calculations of the American Patriot air defense systems.
